Very characterful and charming . Loved the themed rooms . Beds were comfortable . Shower was great. Breakfast was really good value at 12 euros supplement and could be taken in the garden . All staff were friendly and helpful and available 24/7 . Tram to centre of the city was at bottom of the road so very accessible . Surprisingly good for a one star hotel . Rooms are small . There’s no lift but that’s one of the reasons it is rated one star . Another is that not all rooms have air con . . Friend’s room was suffocatingly hot even with a fan . We were lucky

    Very small and not AC

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was comfortable and the staff friendly. The location was fine and it was easy to get around using the fantastic Nice tram. My preferred location is actually closer to Place Garibaldi but it was easy to get there on the tram.

The location is perfect just 15-20 mins away from the old city and the beachfront. The hotel does not have a parking but that street is very busy and you can find a spot if you wait 15 minutes or so. The person that checked us in was friendly and helpful. The facilities were old and the room was very small with no A/C, no elevator and a very small bathroom that you could barely fit inside. Overall old and not renovated. Also for the price this was definitely not worth it.

My room was very clean and super cute. I like the eclectic decor and the fact it’s in a typical apartment and feels homey and comfortable. The staff was very nice and the coffee was good. The garden is cute and the location was perfect! It’s in a more residential and quiet neighborhood, but located so you can walk one direction to the Port or the other direction to the Old Town. There’s also a tram stop right down the street. And even though I was worried about not having A/C in June- my room was a good temperature with the fan as it was on the back side of the building, facing the garden and stayed dark most of the day with how I had the shutters to let a breeze in.

The hotel is in a quiet street, well located for Riquier station, the tram and in walking distance of Place Garibaldi. It is well priced and the staff were extremely helpful. My room had a small fridge in it which was very useful. There was a little side room on the groundfloor which can be used by guests and plenty of books to borrow. The towels were washed daily. Its a homely place There are plenty of stairs so if you have heavy luggage go for a lower room. If you stay for a longer period you will need to ask to have your sheets washed.

    Very handy friendly staff

Extremely friendly staff. Very good location. Nicely decorated place overall Room and bathroom too small, no kettle or tea in the room and could hear neighbours quite loud. But these weren't a big problem for us, we also stayed just one night, probably would be uncomfortable for an extended time

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, very warm and lovely vibes there! Also, the location was very good, it was close to everything we needed.

The mattress was almost laughably cheap ... Thin, swaying and feeling every spring. Bathroom was teeny in my room but I guess there was the romance of living in a French garret. But for over 100 euros it is ridiculous. If the bed had been better I suppose it would have been tolerable.

The staff was very kind. The AC wasn’t actually an AC

  • Engine customer Sep 2025

The low price when reserved But it’s overpriced once you know it’s a room in 4th floor without lift It was room 44 in fourth floor The finishing in bathroom is bad behind WC The WC is touching the Door Can’t sit on WC if you close the door The mattress was hard and not comfortable Pillows were loose and uncomfortable Noise from door and walls etc… The mixer for hot/cold water is old and right temperature can’t be maintained

The location was good. The unfair part was I was given a small room coz I was solo traveler when I paid for a bigger room The photo here on this was the room i expected but instead I got a smaller room for the price Booking gave me. It is not fare to pay for a very small room when I expected a bigger room.

Madame was very helpful. The breakfast was lovely. A very sweet place.

Everything functional and super friendly and helpful staff. Felt like a nice stay at your French uncle’s house, should you have one. I didn’t realize this was rated one star hotel and it’s true that it’s faded and dated, but that helps make it a great value.

The familiarity the bathroom was really small, not a problem for me that I’m thin but I was wondering about every one else…

Very good location to discover the old and new city
