The power would weaken sometimes, the water in the bathroom stopped running for a while early in the morning in my room.

This property is way out in nature and it is absolutely gorgeous. They also have boats and bamboo rafts you can use on the pond around the property. One of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed and the owners are soooo friendly and lovely as well! No AC in the dorm rooms, but many fans which made sleeping in the heat bearable!

Location is ideal if you want to be surrounded by nature. Option to rent scooters was a amazing benefit, helped us get around Ninh Binh easy. Honestly the photo's does not meet expecations. If you are looking for a bare bones backpacking type style then it is the right place, but if you are looking for a bit more comfort & amenities, then I would give it a pass

There was air-conditioning in my private room The mattress sucked Shower pressure was very low Overall the room itself for the price in Vietnam wasn't worth it.

Ao quiet and relaxing! ☺️ you can meet cute dogs and cats!!!

The location felt very “in the jungle” and still close enough for restaurants, sight seeing etc. The cabin’s rustic-ness felt like being back in time and immersed in nature. The natural beauty was amazing. Felt very private and also social if you wanted. The family-style meal offered camaraderie with other guests and staff. The staff were amazing! Fun to talk to them. They were helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Nothing! It was a welcome respite from our earlier travel days in the cities. If you don’t want rustic housing or you can’t live without AC this is not your place. Otherwise it is a tranquil delight!

Location, staff This property requires huge investment and renovation. Most expensive bungalow feels more like An animal shed with plywood instead of doors, and a nail and wire instead of an internal lock. Price should be relevant to such houses

Calm, relaxing and out from the busy city life.

The surrounding nature is really beautiful. It is peaceful, and you can relax while listening to the sounds of nature. The room had a nice view and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was good and included in the room rate. I ordered the omelette, thinking it wouldn't be enough, but it came with a fresh piece of bread, some tomato and cucumber, and a banana. So I was pleased. I had booked a room overlooking what looked like a peaceful area of nature, but the room I was given was right next to the restaurant. Although it was surrounded by nature and overlooked one of the ponds and it was not too busy, I wanted a more private space. I had also booked it because it had a desk, as I was planning to catch up on some work, but there wasn't one. When I asked for one, I was given a piece of furniture that was not particularly comfortable to work at. The mattress was OK — a bit springy — but fine for one night. Lastly, the sink was outside the room. Not very practical. It was a bit difficult to communicate with the staff, but they were really patient.

there were puppies and the place was gorgeous with good food! staff very friendly, the young daughter of the staff was menacing but very cute haha there were mice or rats that got in the room and pooped on my suitcase

  • Engine customer Mar 2026

Mosquitoes, but that also comes with the location. Just big some spray! Also private rooms might be better for this as i stayed in the dorm.

I would have given this hostel a 10 stars. I was staying in the beds dorm room where the dorm is roomy. However, I discovered they didn’t clean or changed the cover of the comforter. The cleaner only re-fold the comforter for the next traveller. I felt dirty using the comforter!! Because of this reason I won’t return to this hostel. It’s very unfortunate cuz I do love the area!!

The physical surroundings are fantastic. Bungalows in the karst setting with pools of water are gorgeous. The food is good. Breakfast (included in our booking) has a number of options. The banana pancakes are delicious and extremely sweet. We had them once then switched to "omelet" which is a couple of eggs with a small baguette and a banana. We don't eat meat, which is sometimes difficult in Vietnamese restaurants. The on-site menu has several vegetarian options with tofu. And there's a pizza menu (made there) with two vegetarian options. I had vegetable pizza one night and tofu dishes the other two. Pizza was good (but more veggies would have been better). The tofu dishes were also tasty. Plenty of food in all three cases. The staff at the front are helpful and speak decent English. The WiFi worked well (I had to reset the router in our room by unplugging). The bungalows are somewhat basic. Our first room don't have a sink or mirror. But we had to switch since the water heater didn't work. The second room did have a sink and mirror. There was no wardrobe or other storage available. A few things need maintenance. For example, the showers work with a knob redirecting the flow from a faucet to the shower head. In our second room, that knob was lost and a bare screw stuck up. Changing the position of the flow was hard - I didn't being pliers! The beautiful and scenic site is a good place to relax. However, it is about 1.5km to the nearest built up area with shops and restaurants. (The Mua Cave area.) This wasn't a problem for us. We got around by walking or Grab, which worked well.

I arrived around 3am and the host confirmed day of that this was fine and he would let me in then, but he was sleeping, so I had to stay outside until someone came out around 6:30am. they also still charged me for that night. so maybe don’t stay here if you have a very late bus/train - otherwise I recommend everything about it!!

    Beds were hard

  • Engine customer Jan 2026

Its localization among the steep rock formations was perfect. The staff was really lovely The mattress in the dorm was bedrock… So hard. It was almost like sleeping on the floor.

One word. Amazing! Chez Beo is such a relaxing place. It was hard to leave for our excursions each day. We stayed 4 days. The food was amazing. The staff were amazing! We were a party of 5 and rented 3 rooms. All very spacious with private bathrooms. Hot water was plenty. Cabins are made with wood and bamboo, no insulation. Beds have mosquito nets. It’s rustic! You are in a jungle setting so be realistic and don’t forget your bug spray. Don’t be in a rush at meal time as they prepare each dish fresh so it can take a while. The vegetable spring rolls were the best Ive ever had as well as the pan fried noodles with egg and veggies. 10 stars! ⭐️ x 10! You won’t be disappointed!

One of the early homestays in the area, Chez Beo wows you with its deep in the jungle feel. The rustic cabanas are along a paved pathway in a marsh surrounded by karsts and as we had one of the last ones, we enjoyed a lovely walk filled with bird songs (and beautifully lit at night) to and from the main common area. The accommodations are basic and clean - with a bonus private patio with hamacs to unwind in after a day of exploring. With breakfast included (we highly recommend the banana pancake and we are not usually the pancake type!), it makes it easy to get your day started. And we highly recommend taking them up on the « welcome dinner ». For the 250k VD cost (they may not mention it - just confirm) it is WELL worth it to try at least once as you’ll be rewarded with about 6-7 dishes to experience different typical Vietnamese dishes AND cheer to rice wine! Finally, the staff is very friendly and the location is excellent - close to many attractions which we went to by bicycle ($). Overall - one of our top accommodations on our journey in Vietnam. N/A

Really unique stay. It's not only accomodation, bit full experience! Hosts were really attentive. We even got a raft floating lesson and we're helped with booking night bus to the next location. The vibe/atmosphere is really realaxingnand making you to pause and appreciate life moments. Would definitely stay again ?

The room was okay. It wasnt very clean and the bed cover smelled like mildew. The water that runs to the toliet, or something, is quite loud and startled me awake sometimes.
