Norfolk Waterside Marriott

An overall great experience !

Property was very nice. Shower was hot with great water pressure. Convenient location downtown with great restaurants and bars within walking distance. Cruise port was 1 1/2 blocks away.

Beds were great

All I can say is that after I stay here, I plan to stay at other Marriott locations

The room was very nice with a beautiful view of the habor. The staff were very accommodating.

Staff were great and helpful. It is a beautiful facility and I would definitely stay again. The patio furniture was not in existence which was disappointing. It does kinda have a “fake fancy” vibe. Very nice looking facility but needs some esthetic TLC. The wallpapers peeling, the floors are popping up, the toilet seat was falling off, and the vacuums need to be updated because the carpet had a lot of debris. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my stay

Location, comfort of room, amenities. Water damage in bathroom, shower shelf coming apart from wall. Not enough linens provided. There should not be a charge for breakfast buffet. Comfort inn and cheaper hotels have better continental breakfast for free that is better.

It was a quick overnight stay but I am pleased with the cleanliness of the room. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

The location is nice. The hotel itself appears to be water damaged. The wall paper in the halls are bubbling and tearing off. The ceilings have water stains. The bathrooms aren’t fresh and clean.

We had an amazing time. Room was fabulous. Clean, comfy and big. Staff check in was great. Coffee shop manager was very rude. Stood there at 6:30 for over 25 minutes for her to finally acknowledge 3 people standing there to rudely state that they didn't open til 7 on weekends. Then proceeded to tell us they wouldn't be open until 7:05 and we could go to Starbucks. You don't do that in a customer service position. She could have spoken to us at the time we arrived to let us know about the opening time. Then the restaurant on site was phenomenal. Food and service was great. However, the server charged us for someone else's order. (Which we didn't notice until after the fact). Other than that, the rest of it was great. We will be using the hotel again, and maybe the restaurant (checking the ticket of course) but I refuse to give the coffee shop a dime of my money, period!!
