Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel

Upon arrival to the hotel the staff was friendly and helpful. It was hot outside and they had drinks and light finger food being served which was perfect while waiting in line for the room. If you choose Breakfast, it’s actually pretty good with fresh omelettes prepared in front if you.

The Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel is very outdated and does not compare to other Sheraton Hotels I've stayed in the past.

I was not able to have a late check out because I was not a rewards member. But I paid money so I don't understand that policy. The lady at the front desk was very sarcastic and the property was 1980s clean and it was paint chipping off of the room doors in the wall when you got out the elevator. Terrible place would not recommend for the price. It is definitely not three and a half Stars it is maybe 2.1

We were there to celebrate our golden anniversary. We chose the hotel because of its proximity to the pier. Some of the staff were unable to help with our questions regarding directions.

I didn’t like being charged for my stay when I booked it through booking.com. So I ended paying twice for one stay.

We enjoyed our stay.

Clean and Comfortable Valet parking was quoted as 35 dollars and I was charged 40.

Room was spacious and had a great view of the Riverside

The hotel is very nice, we had a bay view room and the view was amazing. The staff was welcoming, friendly & extremely helpful. Our room was clean & comfortable. I spent a lot of time in the pool. If I'm in Norfolk again I'll definitely be staying with them again.

We selected this hotel for the advertised location, on the waterfront. That was the only expectation it lived up to. The property itself was run over with trash and loitering visitors. The grounds were littered with cigarette butts, empty food containers and cups. People sitting right outside the entrance smoking cigarettes and marijuana. Abandoned scooters all over the parking lot and even a child riding a scooter in the lobby by the elevators. The parking garage is a “reasonable” $20 pr day for unlimited access. The front desk staff were friendly as well as the housekeeping staff, both excellent. They served complimentary food in the lobby (too close to the entrance) and flies were literally landing on the food before they served it. The room was nice, comfortable bed, and quiet. The biggest disappointment was the filthy conditions of the property itself.
