Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel

The staff of the hotel and the on-site restaurant was very friendly and responsive. The room was meticulously clean although the housekeeper didn’t show up the second day.

We arrived to check in there was a very loud band playing in the lobby and we could not hear the person at the reservation desk. The hotel could have arrange some chairs for the guests to sit outside the back patio but there were very few chairs to sit. Next day they had the wedding cocktail on the patio so there was nowhere to sit to watch the fireworks.

Great location to downtown Norfolk and within walking distance to several restaurants. Location felt safe, and I loved the waterfront. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It was about a 15-minute drive to ODU. The room was clean. Great bar area, and the food looked good.

Wonderful stay - great staff

Overall very good, but we came here for the big Sail250 event. I thought, for a hotel of this stature, they would have information materials about the surrounding area and the festival, but no, nothing - not even any info about their own hotel.

Nice clean rooms. Pretty view of the water from the restaurant, and easy walk to the water taxi. Great breakfast buffet. Just beware of promises for adjoining rooms or specific room types next to each other. Normally we can be flexible, but this trip it mattered and wasn't fulfilled.

All food and drinks were good. They checked us into a dirty room After moving us and acting like they were doing us a favor. Their computers were not working for this big event the 250 Anniversary Celebration during the 50th Harborfest. The power went out the first night for a couple of hours. Phone would not work to even find out what was going on. They seemed in the weeds the entire time we were there. They only had one bar tender and every time I thought we begin to relax another issue arrived. One and done on this one.

The staff was very friendly. Our room was upgraded upon arrival (a nice surprise). Several staff members took the time to speak and ask “How is your stay?” The room was very clean and comfortable.

Staff excellent and professional in all aspects. Property was adequate and could stand updating in the furnishings e.g. chairs peeling etc

Location A bit outdated. Did not honor my request to have higher floors for harborview rooms on higher floors even though emailed way in advance. Ended up in room by elevator with an old door that was hard to close. Poeer went out for 2 jours sr 2am

Water views and staff were excellent Only valet with acception of a parking garage near by that it was a bit of a walk. The walk can be done by the river which made it enjoyable.

Room Location Check in staff Room A/C needs a tune up. Was cooling down room fast enough. Gave valet my keys while I was checking in. He drove my car so hard around the circle I heard it in the lobby. I have a dodge scat pack. I almost punched him in his mouth but my wife talked me out of it. Things like that causes unnecessary problems. Medium height dark skin guy with dreads. Will never give valet my keys again. I’m sure you can play the video back and see him in action. He needs disciplinary action.

What a beautiful hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean too. We enjoyed the morning breakfast a lot. All the delicious food was fresh and hot. We definitely will stay at the Sheraton again on a return trip.
