Residence Inn Norfolk Downtown

When upgraded the next night the hot water did not work for two days. Paid 18 dollars for parking when city sign posted 13 dollars all day.

Great hotel!

Exceptional

Hot water was lacking. Running the hot only for five minutes or more might get hot water eventually. Maybe never. In the morning, there was zero chance of getting a hot shower. In the evening it was hit or miss. I spoke to the front desk about it and they sent a service rep in the middle of the day (while we were not in the room). His note indicated that there was hot water ‘after about a minute’. We chatted with other guests in the elevator and they said they had no hot water, as well. I believe this hotel should invest in a new hot water system, whether that be a point of use or an entire new boiler. I am not a cold shower person.

The staff was great the kitchenette was great! Unfortunately the pool was closed and never opened. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The breakfast was just ok.

The hotel was in a perfect location for us to get to our Cruise timely. There was no hot water in our room kitchen nor bathroom so we had to take cold showers , the hot tub was drained (I was really looking forward to it), and the ac/heat would turn on whenever it felt like it.

The area and room was very accommodating. There was no hot water over 24 hours. On top of that, called the front desk 2 times and they said someone was working on it. Did not leave a message about if it was fixed. Woke up next morning trying to call the front desk no answer or Explanation.

The location was nice. The staff was nice. There was only one elevator working. The iron was subpar. The sofa was uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. I believe there was a mouse.

The suite provided the space...

It was relatively close to all the activities we had planned The mattress has blood on it. We found out because the sheets had hair on them. We changed the sheets and discovered the blood and a mattress pad that was ripped.

The location is really nice. Considering the value, the property is not doing good. I stayed for a week, and I only requested service once. Only needed towels, but I thought they will at least clean the room and vacuum and wipe surface and such. Was really disappointed.

Very clean, helpful friendly staff

The breakfast area should be opened and not in the little closet and maybe include another waffle maker especially during holiday travel. For the price of the nightly stay, the parking garage should be included, especially for rewards members. Otherwise, my neurodivergent child felt at home! It was a great experience with exceptional staff!

Nice location You have to pay to park. No hot water in the shower and they could not move us to a different room. Took cold showers. Both room. No extra blankets for the pull out couch.

Rooms were nice Only one elevator working, phones in rooms and in hall not all were working, not all tv working

I am member but have not checking in with Marriott for quite long time. Love this one, will definitely come back again if am in Norfolk area!

Stayed 4 nights with my 5 year old and dog with zero issues. Conveniently located - literally most everything is within a half hour or less and so much within walking distance !

The room was having a cooling issue. I mentioned it on the day of check in, and it was supposed to be checked. It wasn't fixed but it was manageable on because I was out of the room a lot,
