The pool options were limited, the basic package only allowes access to 1 pool area, making it very full and no space when we wanted to go find a chair. We had to pay extra to upgrade to get access to the 3rd pool, vip, which had tons of seating options. The pool areas could used a redo, age and wear and tear were showing.
-
The cleanliness Too may people in the pool get over crowded.
-
Snacks and drink choices offered in our mini fridge.
-
Welcoming, private and availability of things to do Shower door wouldn’t close properly in our room

After reading so many reviews and making a shortlist of different all-inclusives, we decided to go with this one (the cheapest on our list) but then pay for the Royal upgrade. We loved the VIP feeling of Royal, with access to bar with better liquor, VIP pool and beach booths, VIP check in with welcome drink, and VIP restaurant. Breakfast main buffet and Mexican restaurant lunch buffet were excellent. The international restaurants were nice but most dishes not really authentic, for example VIP steak was weird, Italian pastas a little different than they should be, etc. Manage expectations. Pool is great, beach is nice, and the grounds are lovely. Loved the body board rentals, tennis, and gym. In June (low season), I would say 70% of guests were locals and it was not hard to get pool chairs. Staff was great and there was no pressure for excursions or time shares – they weren't even mentioned. The performances (mostly 9 PM) were too late for our kids so we didn't catch any of them. The kids center looked like nothing special and was empty most of the time so we never used it (note, we were there in June low season). Music and activities/announcements at the pool were kind of loud – honestly would prefer just silence or quieter music. Wish the bars had cocktail lists – we'd see so many bottles but had to Google for ideas of drinks to order, and had to learn how to ask for no/less sugar because they add a ton if you don't. Also wished they had more beers than just Corona and Modelo. Local craft beers or international beers would be welcome. There was no option for Royal + balcony room on Booking – no idea why but would have paid more for it.

This was my second stay and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Thank you for the wonderful sweets and champagne! We had a great time. I like the hotel's buffet, which has a wide variety of food and lots of fruit. It would have been nice if there were more amenities in the bathroom.

Location Epic beach! Bars are awesome Buffet Palm trees Pool Shower head was broken. Water was shut off for a few hours one day, unacceptable. Especially after we asked the front desk once, then they didn’t do anything. Had to go ask again and the lady at the desk was very helpful getting someone to fix the problem (they had turned the water off by accident while working on a nearby room). Don’t get your hopes up at all for the restaurants.

Wonderful experience, friendly staff. Beautiful beachfront. Very family friendly, but worth the Royal level upgrade to access all areas. Evening reservations were hard to book decent times as the main restaurants were limited capacity and could not accommodate groups larger than 6 at one table. All restaurants did their best to accommodate at the time once we arrived, but it would be nice if the concierge would have informed us of this as we booked.

We loved the resort, location, room and staff! The food could have been better. More dinner selections and more availability for customers to reserve a spot at the Hibachi.

This is a lovely resort. Extremely clean and well maintained. We have stayed in a lot of places and imo this is one of the best resorts we've ever stayed in. We like everything

Good service, good food and good facilities The lighting in the room

The only thing I loved was the food. The chefs are doing an amazing job. The breakfast chef who makes omelette is attentive, fast and nice. The staff in the buffet restaurant could do better. They give you a seat, then they forget and give the seat to someone else. Happened trice during my 9 days stay. They don’t feel very welcoming and pleasant. The service mostly felt bland.

We loved the staff in the restaurants and pools. They definitely catered to you and were very attentive. The food was good. We all enjoyed the majority of food options available. The hallways in the evening were very loud. The doors are thin and we could hear everything. The noise kept us up or woke us up most nights. I wish there were more shaded areas.
