Ark Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi

Perfect location. Staff were very friendly. The property is in need of a little cosmetic job.

Not a fan of the smell of cigarettes in the lobby, bathroom was very small even for me and beds were very stiff

The rooms are very small but I guess that is norm in Japan. The beds and pillows were hard and uncomfortable.

The food was good and the toiletries items they provide available in the lobby. The bed is hard as a rock, so very uncomfortable to sleep.

Perfect location, very clean. Quite small but it is expected. I did not like the bed being placed against the wall, you feel a bit sufficed in the room.

It’s very close to subway station and restaurants, convenient for tourist like me. The price also cheap and the staff are friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here in your Osaka trip. I will go back for sure ☺️ Everything was perfect even the price is so affordable with its location.

Affordable and clean Bed size

I loved the location! It was right next to a train station and quite close to Dotonbori. The location is ideal because it was very accessible to everything; be it restaurants, konbinis, drugstores, malls. The staff was also very helpful and so accommodating throughout my stay. To be honest, I didn't have anything I didn't like. I found everything to be beyond my expectations and I was very happy with my stay.

The entire staff was friendly, efficient and very helpful. The location was amazing and shopping and earing places were just one block away. Housekeeping and the front desk were top notch in service. The single room (even by Japanese standards) was way too small, the pillow washard and uncomfortable, the A/C unit temperature not monitored, lack of laundry machines (2 washers/2 dryers) and the repetitiveness of the breakfast menu.

The location was 10 sec from the Station. The room was smelly, and the hallway was dirty as well. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, like beyond belief. I had to turn every 30 min due to my hip pain. Although it was mentioned that breakfast was served till 9:30; they refused to accept us at 9:10 saying that we do not accept anyone after that, and refused to pay any refund for miscommunication. Needless to say that I previously asked them to remove the breakfast from my reservation and they confirmed they would do so, but I need to reach out to booking.com to start the process. Once I did, Booking.com's response to my request was that hotel rejected my request. and to be frank, didn't worth 19 CAD per person; at all; let alone recently increased to 24 CAD; the only thing I could eat on the second day was salad and juice, everything soggy, or uncooked. Didn't worth.

The breakfast was amazing, super wide variety and was changing every day!! The best breakfast we had in the whole Japan trip!! The hotel was very clean and comfortable and in a good location.

Great location with subway station just outside their entrance. Breakfast is simply delicious with many choices. Room is very clean and has just exactly enough space for 2. They have toiletries always available at the lobby. 15-20 minutes walk to dotonbori but not a big issue

Cheap and would 100% recommend. Train station was very close and Dotonbori was a couple minutes away.
