The hostel created a very comfortable and social home base for my visit in Osaka.

The ladder going up and down was a little bit too tight. There were one laundry machine and one dryer.

Service varies highly, some staff were super nice, especially the head manager/owner who knew my name. Some other days staff barely acknowledges you, I ordered a Ban Mi on my second day (which was very delicious), but whoever served me it was kind of rude, just handed me my plate in total silence. I did like however the storage options, you're provided with a small padlock locker in your bed, a code-locker in the room, and an open luggage storage space. I'm accustomed to hostels, but there's barely any insulation between each bed, light and sound easily leaks between the planks, and my first night I had somebody above me practically snoring into my ears, ended sleeping most of the night on the lobby couch. The beds are wildly uncomfortable, the fultons are brown and tired, the mattresses are very old and flat. Cleanliness could also be much better. There's a bit of an identity crisis since this is both a cafe and a hostel, if you're lounging on a couch in the lobby as a guest, and group of people walk in, you will be asked to change your seat. Shinsekai is a very hot tourist spot, so expect noise at night and in the morning.

Although there was only 1 shower on our floor it was clean and had good privacy. I felt at ease. Narrow stairs.

Nothing bad to say about this stay, it was great! Although I stayed in a 10 bed mixed dorm, as a female, it felt safe, private and very cozy, even for staying multiple nights. Highly recommend, would definitely stay here again.

Wow, this is an incredible and very cool little hostel absolutely deserving of five stars. The staff are friendly, helpful, and wonderful to speak with. The bed in the shared space was surprisingly clean, comfortable and spacious enough to relax in. Also felt very private. The hostel is reasonably social but was never too loud late at night. Bathrooms were also very clean. I felt so relaxed and at home here and loved returning after exploring all day. Also the bahn mi and coffee are fantastic! I will definitely come back next time I'm in osaka The slide - because now I want one in my own house

Location is amazing, Shinsekai area is my favorite in Osaka and the staff makes you feel like home, they're very helpful and welcoming, the chicken Banh Mi at the restaurant is amazing by the way, I'll gladly come back!
