The riverfront room was terrific- modern, funky design, spacious and extremely clean. Complimentary coffee and pastries in the morning were a nice touch. The hotel is closing for renovations from 2026, and opening again in 2029

The limited staff (I met only two people) were friendly and helpful and the river view from our hotel room (or the free windowless view from the rooftop, accessible by stairs off the 6/F reception lobby, and the lobby itself) were very nice. The double-room and bathroom were good size though. That said, I really missed the amazing onsens in my two previous hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto. I thought our double room, while it did have a nice river view from the room's balcony (only one chair though), was overpriced given the lack of amenities. Compared to nearby hotels in Osaka (and our prior stays in Tokyo and Kyoto), The Boly lacked an onsen or any internal F&B options. While there was a nice looking sushi restaurant next to the entrance to the hotel, the only F&B were those offered in the minimalist 6/F area next to the reception. Also, the reception is oddly on the top 6/F, with four rooms each on the 2/F-5/F.

Very cool place. Wonderful location and staff.

Very nice, clean, and the staff were helpful Nothing

Best part are the staff. So friendly and kind. Too bad they close in January for 3 years

The room was huge! We got the room with a river view and balcony and it was superb. The bed was comfortable, the love seat was a nice place to relax and the bathroom/shower was more than spacious, especially for Japan standards. If I had to be picky, the TV was a little small and didnt have many channels. Also, the balcony could have had a second chair, but we really didnt mind either as we didnt come to Osaka to watch TV!

It is in the middle of a tourist focussed shopping area, near metro lines, restaurants. Quiet a night, start at the 8th floor so limited noise.
-
Clean, good value, excellent location, good size bathroom with Panasonic shower area. The stand out was the consistent friendly and helpful front desk staff who always went out of the way to make your stay comfortable The room was facing the roadside, so a good amount of noise makes through, but not too bad. They give ear plugs, which I didn’t need.

Location, river view Subway noise- literally only con would wake us up every AM even with ear plugs
-
I like the location and the neighborhood The streetside units are quite noisy and I have to pay extra to get the room on the other side of the hotel. The rest of the hotel is good.

The Boly Osaka is a cozy and spotless place with excellent staff who provide attentive service. The rooftop terrace offers a beautiful view of the river, and we truly enjoyed our stay.

Nice staff This appears to be a converted apartment building. Feels isolating. Also, I like to take the stairs. I was unable to because they store the laundry and other things in the staircase which is unsightly and bars you, literally, from going downstairs to the entrance/exit. While there is a sign stating that you can use in case of emergency, I wonder if it’s legal to have the stairs blocked normally. Aren’t stairways always supposed to be open? Also, many people discuss river views. I had a view of the street and convince store so everyone should know that not all rooms have a river view.

The Boly Osaka exceeded ALL expectations. The rooms were huge, more like a studio apartment, and beautifully appointed! I wish we could have stayed for more than two nights! Gorgeous view over the river, in a quiet area but still close to coffee shops and restaurants and subway. Staff was welcoming and very helpful with directions, suggestions and making reservations on our behalf. Boly Osaka doesn’t look like much from the outside but inside is a surprising hidden oasis! There was nothing we didn’t like!

Gute Lage, ruhige Zimmer zum Fluss, sehr nettes Personal. Das Hotel Boly Osaka ist sehr zu empfehlen.
-
Maybe a road side a bit noisy, but we expected that, so the earplugs are great help.
-
Snacks in the reception area including some continental bits for breakfast. Comfy bed, clean room. Hotels are expensive in Osaka!

The Boly Osaka exceeded our expectations with its location and friendly staff, who provided unprecedented personal attention. The vibe and design were totally us. If you seek Hilton-like hotels, the Boly is not for you, but if you like a small boutique hotel, the Boly is your place. Being on the river side is a bonus. It is not fancy, just well-done.

The space was so serene and quiet. We loved sitting on the balcony at sunrise with a coffee. The interior is hip and spacious. The shower is amazing. The BOLY bath amenities were a delight. The pajamas were comfy. The lobby snacks were a-plenty. We would wind down on the roof top deck every day. The staff had good recommendations and were friendly and helpful.

while there is not breakfast service, the hotel does offer free pastries/ toast and coffee/ Juice in the morning. They also offer free snacks/ drinks throughout the day. Very nice. staying on the river was serene. the front desk ladies were so helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Honestly, they made the trip so welcoming. no complaints. some guests had comments about the train noise/ vibration. While I did notice it, it did not bother me at all as it was minimal.
