The location was about 15 from the bus line. Walking distance from sites and good restaurants. The host was also awesome and easy to communicate , accommodating and helpful. Oh and the morning breakfast was Molto bene! The only problem was that the shower drain was very slow, it did eventually drain. The shower pressure was nice though. You just had to make it quick for fear of overflowing. Honestly it was the nicest bathroom I had experienced in most of my abnb / hotels in Italy tho so that was good.

Fantastic stay! The location is central and highly convenient, with every major sight within a 10 to 20 minute walk. Our host was incredibly kind and helpful. They even waited up for our late arrival after flight delays and rental car issues pushed us back an extra hour. They were also generous enough to arrange last minute parking for us at a very reasonable 15 euros a night. To top it all off, the breakfast was great. Highly recommended!

Good location , very friendly and helpful staff

Incredibly helpful owner in getting parking and helping us get oriented for walking around. Great location. Wonderful rooftop breakfast!

The location was perfect. Easily walkable to all of the main sites. Also enjoyed the opportunity to come back and take a break on the terrace. The the bed was comfortable, clean, and the room had adequate space. Enjoyed the multiple breakfast choices and the opportunity to eat outside on the terrace. The host was exceptionally kind and accommodating.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable and it can get chilly at night (a heater would help), but aside from that, everything else was perfect.

The host, Luca and team member Tomas- were both so kind and helpful! Excellent location to walk to the old city- so many great restaurants, the opera, and Royal Palace and Cathedral. AdHoc Rooms is on a street with several bars which has incredible nightlife. It was super busy each night and while loud while walking through back to the B&B- it was quiet in the rooms. However, the last night we were there they had live music with a base and it was loud in the room. However, the music ended at 11:30 PM so we were able to get to sleep then. It's a fantastic location if you want to join the party ?

Located in the heart of everything. Ad hoc indeed! Barely legible signage outside the entrance. The door was open onto the stairwell and building under full construction. The construction workers were at least helpful enough to point us to the top floor to get to the rooms. We climbed over their electric chords, noisy drills, and plaster with our bags all the way to the top floor with no elevator. We had requested an early check in due to our early flight arrival, which they approved and confirmed through booking.com. But when we arrived, he said the room wouldn't be ready until 14:00 like normal. Despite showing him the confirmation, he yelled at us the exact same thing repeatedly that it only meant leaving our luggage, refusing to admit that he should have specified what he meant in the confirmation, or that checking in could mean anything other than his own interpretation. After yelling at us about 10 times, he finally took our passports and gave us the key. We were surprised by such an inexcusably rude welcome when all the other reviews praise a generous host. He continued to be sour and rude for the rest of our visit, though they did get the room ready on an earlier schedule. Ad hoc shabby chic? More like shabby cheap. There are much nicer places in Palermo for the same price. The breakfast consisted of sweets and deli meats with a couple pieces of sad fruit.

Location and friendliness of staff.

The location is right in the center and yet quiet enough not to run into crowds of tourists when walking out the front door. The staff was always very attentive, Luca even helped me with my luggage when I arrived (with the 4 flights of stairs this was truly appreciated). Breakfast was great, the rooms are all arranged very darling. You can see that the building it a little bit older, but this doesn’t make it any less wonderful. As a female traveler alone I always felt safe - inside and outside the hotel. I event met a wonderful couple at the big breakfast table, which was nice to have a little chat, the big table certainly made it easy to connect and not just sit alone. They also had gluten free bread available - always a plus. Luca also quickly explained all the main roads and sights in the area at check-in which is appreciated. The mattress was for my taste too soft - but this is entire a personal preference. Also two of my questions were not answered ahead of time which didn’t end up being a problem and I did book it only a few days in advance, so maybe they just didn’t get to it yet.

Room itself was fabulously eclectic in a musical theme with cymbals and a horn converted to lamps. Lots of other musical notes (sorry). Breakfast was boiled eggs, ham, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, juice, coffee, tea.. in short everything you would want. Luca and the staff were all very helpful and cheerful. On warm mornings it can be served on a lovely patio. The flights of stairs to get to the room. Luca helped me with my case when I arrived but I knew there was no elevator so it wasn't an issue.

Great location to everything. Safe neighborhood Very close to old town center Air conditioning was inconsistent, and couldn’t keep windows open at night because of the restaurant/bars But not a big negative

- Excellent breakfast - Excellent location in a lovely street, close to everything - The shower is a bit old with old silicone sealants that are good to be replaced :)

The welcome, the good situation and the nice Terrace

Close to restaurants and shopping. Very eclectic spot. We had a nice time on the terrace in the evening. Gluten free to go for breakfast. Luca came early to help with luggage and make espresso for us. No elevator. The bathrooms are new but the shower base area needs a little love.

We liked everything about Ad Hoc Rooms. The atmosphere is charming, calm and welcoming. We were woken by the smell of brewing coffee and fresh pastries and breakfast on terrace was gorgeous. The rooms are interesting and personal and have everything you need. Luca was very helpful and the location is a standout. Sadly we only had one night as it was booked out for the rest of our time. Would definitely book again. Nothing

I’m so happy we chose Luca’s accommodation! What a slice of heaven in Palermo! Luca went out of his way to find us for check in as our data service on our phone wasn’t working. I can’t say enough good things about the location, the views, the vibes, and the artsy, funky aesthetic of the space! And, if you’re all about the smells and cleanliness, it was obviously very clean inside, bathroom/whole space had a wonderfully clean citrusy aroma. The location is just above a cool little bar we got to catch on a night with live jazz. For our first visit to Palermo, this was the perfect place to be and see historic sites from with a limited timeframe. Yes, there are stairs, as others describe, but that’s something to be expected in an old building. You will be glad you booked here! Amazing views, delicious breakfast, extremely accommodating host (along with his parents :) Can’t thank them, especially Luca enough!! Absolutely nothing.
