The location and absolute great service of Jean Pierre at Front office ...plus great breakfast! Unfortunately there were some maintenance works going on from 8:00 to 17:00, which did not allow us to enjoy hotel and rest during the day. One major issue is the communication skills of Stefania from customer service/reception...very rude and unpleasant !

It was looking dated and tired, and nothing like as well maintained as the pictures suggested . It is in need of a full refresh

The hotel is in a great location and breakfast is good, even though it's the same every day. In the afternoon, there is complimentary sparkling wine available in the lobby, and the staff are friendly. It feels like you are staying in a museum.I definitely recommend it! The only downside was that ants suddenly appeared in the room.

I had a room for 2 people, improved, which was on the 1st floor at the end of the corridor, the window did not open and the view was the wall of the front building. The location of the hotel was good, the breakfast was good, the room was large, with old renovations, the cleanliness could have been better. They waited 2 hours to enter the room because they did not see the payment that I had paid in advance through Booking. Also, they made me pay extra for breakfast when I left the hotel, which I am now investigating.

Historic buildings The king size bed is actually combination of two single beds
-
the selection of food eggs were cold
-
Guests are not able to control the temperature of the AC in the rooms. Even when a staff member tried to lower it for us to 23° it automatically went back to 24.5°. That's a bit too hot for July and August.

Great location, attentive staff

Jean Pedro Jean Pedro was a big help. He was excellent with service
-
Good location for sight seeing and food. Air conditioned and nice staff. The property is very old and needs updating. The breakfast buffet is very below standard compared to other properties throughout Sicily.
-
Great location Roof top restaurant. Excellent breakfast. Fascinating layout. Magnificent ceilings. No natural light in room.
-
Central located in the old town district, very comfortable to walk in the city and reaching out restaurants. Reception was super friendly especially the gentleman with the beard and the red hair lady , great and kindly people. Thank you for the room with a great view ?? Breakfast need enhancement especially egg station, pre cooked scramble eggs was not inviting and we had no chance to order omlette or similar. Also coffee is from the machine and not a good quality unfortunately, you expect more in Italy

The location and the lobby were the best parts of the hotel. The rooms are old and dingy. My son woke up with bug bites all over his legs.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. The didnt have parking on site so plan to book it in advance of thats allowed. There are a few walking distance parking spots.

Breakfast was very good, location was great, staff was very helpful, complimentary prosecco in the lobby was nice Room smelled like a toilet, had very loud noise starting at 7:30am daily (construction), air conditioning was too cold at times, hard to regulate, beds too firm
-
Excellent room- clean, comfortable, and great location . Highly recommend!”

Location Loud at nighttime

Faded glory in many ways but distinctive and well-kept. Beautiful old building and nice breakfast. Not particularly welcoming. Bar was closed for no apparent reason.

Excellent location, very convenient, right in the middle of everything. Outside the bustle of crowds and buskers, inside peace and quiet. Our room was very comfortable, the breakfast was plentiful, the concierges were helpful when needed. We loved the ambience- walking through the salons with their elaborate architecture, chandeliers, antiques and period art, we really felt the history of the palazzo. We couldn’t have been happier.

Breakfast was delicious, lots of variety. Room was rather small, but the location was ideal, near many top sites abnd good restaurants. Internet was very weak. I had to make an important international phone call and the signal was too weak for me to hear the other party or for them to hear me. The call kept getting dropped and I had to try multiple times, finally coming down to the lobby/reception area where the signal was a little better. But this should not be the case in a hotel as highly rated as this one.
