The noise from either staff or passerbys in the hallways during the night disrupted my sleep over my two-night stay

Vintage style, sweet owners. You could write a romantic song about the place. Its a little run down and the sheets and towels arent fluffy. But still big fan.
-
Very clean room. Very very nice owner. Reasonable prices. Our room had a small bathroom and small shower, but reasonable price.

This is the perfect place to stay for the budget minded traveler. Plus, the location is exceptional and the owners are incredibly hospitable!

Hotel Cortese is 10-15 minute walk through the marrket in the narrow streets near the train station-
-
Close to the train station. Nice terrace on the roof Noisy. Uncomfortable mattress
-
Location was the best! Minute walks from major attractions. Breakfast was good. Ac did not really work well and all TV was not able to change languages

Location is great and it fit my needs

Great location with breakfast. Owner is a great guy and very helpful. I prefer an in room fridge and kettle. However, owner did store some items for me in his fridge.

Place was great-awesome location-little noisy at night-but it was Saturday night and everyone knows
-
Very friendly staff. Breakfasts had enough choices to start the day. The neighborhood lacked any restaurants that deserve to be mentioned. But a great wine bar was about five minutes away. Several restaurants with bars would have made the neighborhood worth staying in. I had to walk a good distance to find something worth writing about.

Good location in relation to attractions, bus station and train station. The room is small but quite comfortable The room was next to a utility room where the washing machine was turned on at 4am, so it was impossible to sleep. There was a strong smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. Breakfast was typically Italian. The bed in the single room was narrow.

Very good
-
Excellent location and very friendly staff It’s a little unconventional - renovated older building - but not in ways that detract from comfort.

I liked the location for myself as I wanted to be by the market and walking distance to the train It’s very loud at night and the place smelled weird.

This is a small family run hotel in the narrow streets and lanes of old Palermo. The room was clean and comfortable, with a good shower. Breakfast was a selection of breads and pastries, good coffee. Hotel Cortese is well located being only a few minutes walk from Quattro Canti and other places of interest. The hotel is on the second floor with no lift.

Clean room, good location
-
Right in the market area. Walking distance from train station. It's very noisy at night.

Owners are very nice people. Breakfast was below my expectations. Coffee and juice was available, but besides that only one big plain croissant. Every day the same. First day they warmed it up. All other days you have to ask for it. Nothing else. Forget even plain bolonya, boiled eggs or fruits. If you are visiting in summer, be ready that your air conditioning will be turned off, even if you leave it on. Electricity and water is expensive. There is no drinking tap water in the hotel, you will have to buy it from the machine in the lobby, or buy in the city. No microwaves anywhere, even in the lobby, in case you want to warm up a piece of something to have more substantial breakfast.
