Blackhaus C: 4 Bedroom Suite by Avantstay 4-room Retreat

Second time staying here and I genuinely enjoy coming here! It’s super close to downtown; it’s super private, creating a more intimate atmosphere. Clean, simple, and aesthetic (if you care about that!). Great place.

Parking was easy & safe, and very close to downtown, great location.

It was like home way from home (I know that sounds cliché, but it really was.) From the comfortable beds to the kitchen utilities from the barbecue from the cleaning products and the cleanliness. The property was extremely clean and was very quiet.

This place was beautifully decorated and clean. It was walking distance from most places, specially the Palm Springs Convention Center. Host is responsive and helpful.

Dirty shower and floor

We stayed in a studio that had a generously sized bedroom opening onto the sitting area. There was no ice machine on the property, and since only a mini fridge was in the room, I couldn't store ice I purchased elsewhere. The pool area is small and can't accommodate all the rooms comfortably. The fence around the pool faces the parking lot, and a car pulled into the spot directly behind my lounge chair. Perhaps installing a privacy screen would help. We experienced a water leak from the shower that pooled in the bedroom. The staff was excellent in providing us with clean towels, as we used the bath towels to mop up the mess. They also quickly supplied cups for coffee and the bathroom. It's a great hotel, and we recommend it wholeheartedly, but think twice if you want to lounge at the pool all day.

The property was looking a bit shabby this stay. My bathroom sink did not drain the whole time, no microwave, washing machine shuts off on certain cycles and dining table was wonky could not eat on it.

Very spacious! The unit we got had 2 bedrooms, 3 full baths and a full size living room with a full kitchen, plus the entire patio to ourselves. It was also located a few blocks to the central part of downtown Palm Springs so we were able to walk around.

Hotel was very although it’s still quite a walk to downtown. Pool was too small.

I would recommend anyone to stay here it's so close to everything but there is peace and quiet.

Where the property falls short is the upkeep & maintenance. Several items/chairs in the house were worn down, wobbly, and needed replacing. (I called for maintenance right when I got there.) There were also remnants of tape from party decorations on the wall that nobody took down. The dishwasher leaked when it was run, and there was no microwave, which I thought was odd. One note was also that they built the "common areas" around the back of the rooms, so anyone leaving through the patio can walk by your room or living room. I wish it were all separated or enclosed. I could potentially be ok with this, but there are no curtains on our living room windows, so anyone walking by can see you. Which happened. With some minor tweaks, this could be a gem of a stay and destination repeat for me, but it's not worth the money if they don't fix things up. If the owners read this, please walk through this room and see exactly what I am saying. Investing just a little money will go along way.

Had a minor issues with our room that needed to be tended to. Management was quick to respond and accommodate us with another room. Will stay again.
