The buildings architecture is STUNNING! Wexler was a master in design in the late 40’s etc. Unfortunately it is not well maintained and I was told the budget is being spent on a sister hotel next door. Example… umbrellas shredding, old thin towels at the pool, chipped paint, furniture missing pieces, makeup mirror not working, ripped rug in the patio, TVs way outdated and impossible to figure out how to watch with mismatched remotes and old cable boxes, (no streaming services) outdated plug outlets worn furniture. I could continue but you get the idea. I was there for a 3 night girls getaway and on our last night upon returning from dinner the room air conditioner leaked water all over one of the beds and soaked the mattress. We were moved from our double room which is sisters shared to two single rooms which sort of defeated our intended purpose. Now for the good stuff… the staff were THE BEST! They were kind, attentive and prompt. We were moved almost immediately to our respective rooms and of course weren’t charged. Upon arrival which took place at said sister property care was taken to make us feel welcome. One staff member knocked on our door and delivered a bottle of Brut and a lovely hand written card. The linens were comfortable as was the mattress. The in room drip coffee was tasty and the included breakfast was one of the best continental serving I’ve ever had. The salt water pool was clean. We did get a refund on our resort fee but not on the room.

Doesn't look anything like the photos. The photos must’ve been taken years ago when the hotel was in nicer condition. Everything was just old dingy and lived in. I think the biggest ick was the fact that when we checked in our bed wasn’t cleaned. You could tell the room was cleaned, and the bathroom was cleaned. But when I pulled back the comforter, it was very obvious someone slept in that bed. There was hair and debris all over the sheets and they weren’t pulled tight. The bed was made to look like it was changed, but it wasn’t. We had to call for new sheets and I had to change the sheets on the bed myself. The pool was nice, but there was no one there to clean up trash that was left on tables. For $200 room it was good enough, but I’d say spend a little more and go to a nicer hotel. I would not come back here. It looked nothing like the pictures. They are very deceiving. I will say the lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and very kind. The breakfast you get to eat at their sister hotel next-door was great and that hotel was beautiful. We will be staying there next time.

The room was refreshed, nicely decorated. I found the remotes for the tv and the AC hard to use, and the sheets didn’t seem the cleanest. They could update their pool and room towels. However, I would stay again!!

Nice mid-century modern vibe. Free breakfast was awesome. Clean pool and very large room with excellent view. Location was extremely walkable to key dining and shopping in Palm Springs.

Our room was so filthy. There was trash and debris on the bathroom floor. Hairs. The room floor was not clean. Bugs and crumbs. The baseboards hadn’t been cleaned in weeks if not months. So after our first night I brought this to their attention at the desk. They promised to deep clean the room but it was exactly the same. Finally I brought the desk worker up and pointed it out. The housekeepers came and I showed them everything so they cleaned it. Ick. Room was just so so anyway. Not very nice at all but survivable. The guys at the desk were very friendly and tried to help. The breakfast is next door also and we enjoyed it. Continental breakfast. Sadly, I would not return.

The location was great. The pool was nice. The room was a comfortable size. There is usually no staff at the front desk. If you needed anything you had to call.

Housekeeping: Forgot to stock toilet paper and body wash, but staff at the front desk was responsive about these items when requested. Front Desk: Maria at the front desk was lovely and helpful about recommendations and telling us about the property. The rest of the staff was also friendly. Breakfast: A great continental breakfast was offered at the sister property, La Serena Villas, next door during our stay, and the service was top notch by the staff. Dinner: We had a wonderful dinner at Azúcar, the rooftop restaurant at the sister property with views of the San Jacinto Mountains. Stylish crowd. Pool: The hotel is small so even on a fully booked holiday weekend, we had our choice of lounge chairs by the pool and plenty of pool time in an un crowded pool. The pool furniture and towels are a bit worn and could use an update, but they did the trick. Poolside service: The hotel itself doesn’t have a bar or restaurant but you can order drinks and food and the sister property will deliver poolside - convenient and great service! Overall: We enjoyed our weekend stay at the Del Marcos Hotel and would consider staying again at this historic property that’s walking distance to downtown Palm Springs. They stored our bags when our rooms weren’t ready yet and provided late checkout free of charge. The staff members at both this hotel and its sister property are stellar and make a memorable impression.

The property is gorgeous and is small and quiet in a great location

Bathrooms could use an upgrade. Rusty items. We ended up changing rooms as our room as noisy and lots of hair on the shower walls and rusty items. also AC and television weren’t working well. Second room was better through still a bit outdated. However entire staff is very nice, and helpful.

Beautiful, historic and authentic mid-mod property close/walkable to all downtown has to offer, yet a block off the main drag, so quiet. Clean and comfortable and the greatest, most welcoming staff - who had wonderful tips for local spots to check out! The Del Marcos will now and forever be my home base for all future Palm Springs adventures, and there will be many!

We stayed in the Hope & Crosby room. The room was dirty with layers of dust and hair throughout. Black stain on bed comforter, and stains on towels (had to get clean towels). The bathroom floor was so dirty that the bath mat turned black after it got wet from the shower. We paid a higher price for mountain views. The balcony floor and furniture were dirty and stained, so we did not sit outside. Also, the balcony had frosted glass panels, so you could only see the mountain if you were standing. Luckily, we stayed only one night. Continental breakfast was good, and the location is ideal. We stayed at this hotel in 2022 in a different room, and it was so charming and clean. It now has a new owner, and the property has suffered greatly. The pool area is still decent with beautiful views.
