What a wonderful place to stay and everyone was so welcoming, friendly and great to be around. Thank you for the memories that will carry me until the next time we see each other again
-
We expected a 5 star hotel but was way below expectations, very nice interior and decor though.
-
Fairly central location. Interesting old fashioned decor Several things did not work well - toilet flush, internet, no natural light in the room

Beautiful lovingly restored period villa(s). Tons of green around, great library, perfect location. Nothing
-
I adore the cozy charm of this heritage hotel, which perfectly combines modern design with a Nyonya-style ambiance.” No parking is provided on the premises. You’ll need to park outside and pay the parking fee to avoid police fines

Fantastic location. Some of the furnishings needed to be recovered as they had stains on them

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Besides the provided breakfast, there was also a complimentary high-tea after checking-in which was nice for unwinding from the journey. The breakfast was adequate, there was a good selection. Though there's no designated parking, there is still an open lot 1-3 minutes away that wasn't expensive. We rented the Muntri suites which might not have been serviced as often as the other rooms. There was dust accumulated at different spots in the suite and also dust mites found on my bed. Additionally, there was an ash tray left with cigarette butts, soaking in rain water in the courtyard. It rained heavily during our stay and the suite had a leak. The place did not meet our expectations.

The room above us was constantly noisy, breakfast disappointing, shower just warm, not hot …

It is a 200 years house; homely rooms and shared spaces. Comfortable, great for good night sleep. Staff is kind, helpful. Great breakfast. Nothing

We stayed 3 nights in the Annex Jack Roof, which is a cute bungalow accessible by the garden. The hotel decoration was beautiful. Large and comfortable room and common areas, lovely gardens. Loved the desk. Spacious bathroom. Smelled vintage, like at my grandma's. Nice staff. Cute cats. Quiet small library. Great location, walking distance to most downtown interesting spots, a lot of restaurant and convenient stores nearby. Beautiful neighborhood. No wifi inside the room. Mosquitoes in the bedroom, despite using the provided anti-mosquito device (these never work). Disappointing cheap breakfast, would benefit from better quality ingredients (for example, granola instead of that dry raw oatmeal that no one eats anyway; yogurt, or an other milk option for the lactose intolerant; or good bread, there are a bunch of good bakeries nearby). Noisy street behind the room, esp early morning (noisy people and kids hanging out before school - which is just opposite the hotel, high water pressure cleaning, cars and motorbikes).

It looks like you are living in someone's home and the shutters stay closed at all time so it is a bit dark in the room.

Location was great. Very rustic building A/C worked well. Not much to lobby. Room was outdated.

Super close to bars and hawker stalls. There is tea in the afternoon with snacks which were amazing. The staff was so nice. You keep your room key at the front desk. My friend and I came back super late one night and they waited for us all night to give us the key and lock up after we left. Two 20 something girls approved. The included breakfast was amazing. Cafe next door served you and the staff remembered our orders. It was so comfortable
-
A little noisy during the night which as a light sleeper disturbed me even with the provided ear plugs.
-
Nice house, old school style lots of mosquitoes in the night, cannot sleep well No WiFi signal in the bedrooms Telephone cannot be used Some staffs‘ attitude need to be improved

The hospitality was warm and welcoming, they made us feel at home and secure. The rooms were clean and fully equipped, however it is an old building. Totally recommend for people that love culture and vintage buildings. The location was further away and in the middle of an alleyway. There was no parking, and the flooring because it’s outdoors isn’t suitable for trolley bags.

ALL. This hotel is so beautiful, from the main lobby which is like a living room in a big house, the room, the garden, and the common area. It also has a cozy library upstairs which I love so much. My room was spacious, with complete amenities and it smelled so good when I arrived. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. The staff was also amazing, they really made me feel at home. Amer the manager was so nice and caring, he explained a lot about the house, the surrounding, and suggested some nice places to eat and visit. The breakfast was simple but nice, the chef was so kind and friendly which made me feel like eating at home. I completely recommend this hotel bc this beautiful heritage hotel is something you really can’t miss when you visit Georgetown. ALL. My room was spacious, with complete amenities and it smelled so good when I arrived. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. What amazed me is how details the hotel is and how it really preserves all the collections. The staff was also amazing, they really made me feel at home. Amer the manager was so professional, nice and caring, he explained a lot about the house, the surrounding, and suggested some nice places to eat and visit. He tried to pay attention to all guests which made staying in this hotel really special. The location is close to some bars and nighlife but it was not noisy at all at night bc it was still separated with some residences and quiet street part. The breakfast was simple but nice, the chef was so kind and friendly that tried to communicate joyfully with the guests. I completely recommend this hotel bc this beautiful heritage hotel is something you really can’t miss when you visit Georgetown.

The staff at 23 Love Lane are so friendly, attentive, and kind. They really made my experience exceptional! They addressed me by my name, suggested how to get from place to place, and even made sure I got to try roti cennai before checking out. Here you will find old school hospitality which is rare to find these days. A major shout out to the team- you all are awesome! ❤️? I stayed in the Jackroof Annex and thought the room was very well appointed and super clean. The rooms have everything you need - filtered glass water bottles (you can get more from the bar as needed), coffee/tea and hot water kettle, hair dryer, quality toiletry products, bathrobes, strong A/C. The decor is gorgeous & complements the architectural style of George Town. Another major plus is the location. It’s near the end of Love Lane so you don’t get the noise from the bars; it is peaceful at night. I highly recommend 23 Love Lane and hope to return! The only thing missing in my book is a plunge pool ;-) Although I do realize there isn’t really space for it. One can dream… Still, my stay at 23 Love Lane was exceptional and I would return in a heartbeat.

The feel of a colonial Villa, it was lovely. Clean and fresh.
