Staff members were always around and eager to help, bilingually. I especially note how helpful Patricio, Ignacio, Nicolas, and (bartender) Esteban were. Indoor swimming pool and sauna were nice amenities. Elevators could be slow to arrive at times. Front door is always locked even during the day so it can be challenging to enter when arms are full, to fumble in a pocket for the room card key. TV remote was broken and had to be exchanged.

Very nice Nothing, I had a very smooth stay.

Everything Nothing

The young man who organizes the breakfast is very polite. There was an available room for early check-in, but the front desk man made me wait almost 2 hours just to release the keys on time. Rooms are very dated. The lobby is poor, restaurant depressive, with few food options and very expensive for what it is.

Exceptional breakfast some refined choices. Good location close to metro. Clean room and swimming pool / gyms.

Close enough to walk to main street, but quiet and close to Moai. Great view of ocean and beautiful grounds. Staff was very friendly. Communication was great with timely answers to questions. Long front porch to take in view was fantastic. Dinette was just right for what we needed--small refrigerator, stove-top. Very comfortable bed. The only thing that would have been a little nicer would be a countertop around the bathroom sink. Not bad if 1 person staying. On the plus side, it was a newer bathroom with a great shower.

The location is really good, very close to Tobalaba metro station and to the main boulevards, also close to a big shopping center. Thanks to the lady at the reception, I think her name was Christina, she was very helpful. I think she was the only good thing at this hotel. The hotel doesn’t even have a drop-off area, this is not understandable. Our taxi drivers had to stop on the other side of the road (both on arrival and on leaving), we had to cross the road with so many pieces of luggages and bags in our hands. Absolutely very tiring after such a long journey to Santiago. Besides, nobody was helping us! The room is not so big, not so small, its fine, but it needs a lot of maintenance. The sliding door of the bathroom is definitely a wrong choice, making noise while sliding and no isolation when closed. Hangers in the bathroom are loosened. Towels are greyish, not white. I left a not on the bed asking for replacement of the mattress, but it wasn’t replaced. When I came back to the room, I saw the same grey dot on my pillow. There is no drinkable water supplied in the room, no snacks either, when we asked we were advised to fill our glasses from the water dispensers located in front of the elevators at every floor. In other words, every time you feel thirsty, you have to go to the elevator lobby or you need to carry a bottle with you. Next morning, at 9:15 AM, the housekeeper started using the vacuum cleaner and since there’s not sufficient sound insulation at the doors, we woke up with that noise. I called the reception first, but there was no response. Then my friend got out of the room and asked the housekeeper to stop it. These are all against the basics of any hotel operation, and that’s why this was the worst Novotel I’ve ever stayed in. Not recommended.

Novotel has a modern and stylish design, with great amenities and very friendly staff. The barman and doormen were especially welcoming and helpful, making the stay feel warm and personal. The location is also excellent, with a great convenience store next door and some of the best restaurants just steps away. We returned to one three times as the ceviche was excellent. The Novotel pool is small but lovely and the gym is great. The view is good from the gym. There were a few significant drawbacks that impacted my stay. The key card system was very frustrating — it was difficult to open the door each time and this made me feel slightly unsafe. I took at least 5 times to open to door. My door was missing a piece where the lock should click in properly upon inspection. Additionally, the sauna was locked two days in a row, which was disappointing, especially as it was one of the amenities I had been looking forward to using. The biggest issue came at checkout: my Mastercard and my WISE debit/credit card — both of which I regularly use, including for my Booking.com reservation — were not accepted without paying extra so I was unexpectedly charged an additional $80 USD in taxes, even though I am not Chilean and have not been charged this tax at nearby hotels. I am currently disputing this charge with Novotel, as it was neither communicated clearly nor consistent with standard practice.

The best NOVOTEL yet. It was fantastic across the board. Only had one problem with then room's entertainment system, which needs to be more user friendly. Other than with the room's entertainment system (TV), this is the best NOVOTEL I have stayed in.

Very dark rooms Small beds (not king even when i did a reservation for a king bed) Noise in the floor Tv without netflix or apps No water or anything on the minibar Small windows Not worth the price

The breakfast is too basic. The fridge in the room doesn't really cool the stuff, temperature isn't low enough to call it a fridge.

The hotel's location is great, the beds are comfy and the rooms are big enough. the curtains block the full sunlight out. the staff apart from one receptionist were helpful and good the gym is decent enough so apparently they charged my card twice, even though I paid a month in advance, and receptionist during the morning shift came up with some BS that oh our exchange rate changes blah blah without even looking at the dates on the invoices. I was checked into a room where someone was actually already sleeping, poor guy wokeup and got scared as it was 12am when I checked in. one of the elevator was not working for the first 2 days and there are only 2 elevators, you can imagine. my room was right across the elevator and last two nights there were people constantly in the corridor making noises, so yeah I slept like shit

Very expensive for what you get. Better value elsewhere nearby.
