Excellent location, friendly staff, clean rooms, and great food.

The service and the food The sheets smelled funky. Only one à la carte dinner. Then we had to use the buffet for the rest of our stay, but it was really good.

They gave us expiered food we all had stomach issues with the food.

Nice place. Before to enter the hotel premises, the road to get there was really in poor condition. Very limited local music and no dancing places with the local music. Not for Local Caribbean people. I was really bored for 4 nights stay. Taxis are charging very expensive rates for short distances like Downtown. Once you are out of hotel property local people trying to cheat on you!

The pool out by the beach was really nice My room had to be changed 3 times Bugs on the bed it had me really shook

A lot of mosquitos in the room and in the area. I cant control the air conditioning.

The culinary experience. There was serious confusion in the coordination between employees particularly at the reception desk. They were not aware of events taking place and where; even in identifying and locating places and areas for the tourist. On various occasions, the receptionist at Gran Turquesa didn't know where de gym was and certain restaurants. I also had a serious problem with the reception on the day of departure. I asked the receptionist who made the checkout for me to order a taxi to pick us up at the hostel to take us to the airport. She called the transportation company on the phone and reserved it, and told us that the cost was 40 dollars. The taxi picked us up at the lobby, and when he was taking us to the airport told us that he was going to charge 40 dollars via his veryphone. I told him that that was exactly what the reception clerk that did the checkout for us told me the cost was. BUT he charged us 59 dollars!!! I did not have more DATA on my phone, so when I arrived in Puerto Rico, I checked my bank account and the account had a charge of 59 dollars (that is 3,200 Dominican pesos) The driver that the receptionist reserved for us overcharged me $19.00. I will write a formal complaint.

It was clean, and staff were working so hard. The beach was very bad, where there were tons of seaweed you can't swim in any way. Another issue that bothered us a lot was the daily works in the construction in the upper room (42205).

Exceptional

The property was well kept you always saw grounds keepers keeping up the landscaping. Housekeeping did an amazing job and everyone was very kind and always smiling. The front desk addressed our every need and the bell boys were exceptionally great. We attended an All white party which didn’t have a bathroom close by which made it difficult to have drinks and worry about the bathroom.
