The location was good. Close to town, accessible by foot from town. The kitchen was not clean, the food was not labeled, nobody not even the housekeeping staff knew the owner of the food on the bench top that was there the entire time we were there. This coupled with a number of people who did not wash their dishes made the kitchen untidy and dirty. The housekeeping staff often came very late in the afternoon sometimes during evening meal prep times so only a minimum of cleaning was done. Because of the late cleaning of the rooms we were forced to wait a good hour to an hour and a half after check-in time before we could access our room. We then had to request that the room be vacuumed as there was still food on the floor after housekeeping had left. Outside at the clothes line there were clothes scattered on the ground near the rear entry which remained for our entire 5 night stay. In the toilet a globe needed to be replaced. We mentioned this to the housekeeping staff and they said that they would notify management. The globe was not replaced in the 5 days we were there. On our last night we heard from another guest who had been there for 3 months that the light in the bathroom had not worked the entire time despite having notified management multiple times. When we left we stripped the beds only to discover that the mattresses were filthy dirty and covered in stains. When we reported this at check-out the desk clerk said that she would report this to the manager.

It was unsuitable for us; we had to upgrade to their motel rooms. Up very steep steps; very basic, not too clean, noisy.

Queenstown is very expensive but this was a reasonable option. The hostel is a short walk to downtown. Our room was comfortable with some "interesting" decor. The shared bathroom is a bit rustic but the common areas, kitchen, breakfast room and lounge are comfortable. The privacy on our room consisted of a torn plastic sheet covering the window! There were no hooks to hang anything and no furniture except the twin beds and one bedside table.

Location, comfortable beds 46 steps to carry our bags up. No electric jug in kitchen. Fridge half full of expired mouldy food. Broken chair in lounge. No flyscreens

location was nice. showers were clogged with hair, no lock on the all female dorm, same access code to the building for everyone and looked like it hadn’t been changed in years, and 1 of the 2 toilets wasn’t working.

Basically accommodations at a beautiful location. The bed was comfortable, and the female dormitory was filled with respectful ladies. It could be cleaner. Nick at the front desk was very accommodating with my parking needs. I would stay here again. Showers need to have some sort of shower mat outside the door that doesn’t hold water and keeps the floor dry whenever you step out of the shower. I think the carpet in the rooms should be removed altogether. It would be easier to keep it cleaner without carpet. A few little fixing up of things and it would be much better.

Nothing 1. Staffs. Specially a girl at reception She should not work this kind of job. The reception need to be kind and welcome. You can see other customers s review about your reception as well. 2. Unclean room with many dust 3. Unclean bathroom and kitchen 4. Noisy at late night We are not sure from Staffs or Customers. They seem to talk in indian language

It is in a great location, very close to the waterfront and easy to walk places. It had limited kitchen equipment, it was a little dirty and very run down.

Only the location was good. Not clean. People who were living with us were simply not respectful, screaming late at night, swearing, laughing very loudly, punching the walls at 3 am. Not hot water in the shower when someone is using it next to you. Horrible smell, hairs on the “freshly” sheets. The ONLY cleaner entered our rom without knocking with the vacuum and just smilled awkwardly the all time he was there. Opened all the windows when it is only 3° outside, and leaving without closing the door. They don’t give you any key for you room only a code to enter the building which is written on a paper just under your eyes at the sight of everyone. When we arrived during the check in the receptionist, which is the staff of the motel too, he said to go to room 3 but he was not sure so he told us to try every room to find some empty beds ( some of the rooms are only men and only women ). This is completly unprofessional to let 2 young women wonder around in rooms full of older men.

Location was good Staff were annoying, Indian staff in the room with their phone on loud speaker talking in the morning for ages while trying to sleep from a night out. No locks on the door, just a code for the main door

There is nothing positive about this property. One toilet for 30+ people is not acceptable. The place is filthy & the kitchen is in a shocking state. Doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned in 2025. No locks on room doors. I wouldn’t stay here if someone paid me. Avoid at all costs
