The best thing about this property was definitely its location. It was conveniently located near many attractions, restaurants, and public transportation, making it easy to explore Rome and it is very near/walking to the Colisseum. Communication with the host was good, and they were responsive throughout our stay. However, there were several issues that affected our overall experience. The room was very small, and the bathroom was extremely cramped and uncomfortable to take showers. We also experienced problems with the air conditioning on two separate nights. To be fair, the host responded promptly and arranged for someone to come and repair it the following day each time. We appreciated their efforts to address the issue, but unfortunately, it still resulted in two uncomfortable nights during our stay. If you are someone who values spacious accommodations or prefers a comfortable-sized bathroom, this may not be the right place for you. Likewise, if you are particularly sensitive to room size or comfort, you may want to consider other options. Other than those issues, everything else was fairly standard. The location was the main highlight of our stay.

The accommodations are more like a hostel. It was hard to find the location as the cafe/ pub next door were unfamiliar with the location. There were no signs to indicate merulana suites. There were no staff on site.

- The room we got had an A/C above the bed that was always leaking which meant that during the day and night we were splashed with water. The water leaking also lead to the pillows being covered with black mold. The bathroom had also mold and there was no water pressure that lead to us having to manually flush the toilet it was a horrible situation. Some of the electrical plugs were loose which is another obvious hazard.

Although located on a busy and noisy street, the double-glazed windows helped reduce some of the outside noise (ear plugs still recommended). The guesthouse is easy to locate, with clear directions provided by the owner, and the area feels safe. The room was cleaned daily, and the owner was responsive and helpful throughout the stay. The air conditioner was leaking, so we chose not to use it. There were visible signs of mold on the AC unit, as well as on parts of the room and shower walls. Water pressure in the shower was very low, and although it was cleaned daily, the overall shower condition was poorly maintained. The location is at least 15-20 min walk from the main attractions.

No safety deposit box

Only location was good. The staff was not helpful, I went with a friend and they did not even give separate blankets after asking. There were weird sounds at night so I would not recommend if you are traveling solo as it was quite frightening.There was an issue with the bathroom as well and we asked for change of the room however they did not even respond to my inquiry.

The location is great, easy to go at Coloseumum, lots of buses to go in different places. The room clean, but cold at nght, had balcony and nice view!?? visit Italy is lovley ! Could at nght!

Great location - easy to walk to iconic sights, central station. Remote check-in, instructions are sent the day before. Room cleaned every day, hygiene kits provided As indicated earlier, the proximity to the square and the roads, cause discomfort-noise from passing traffic

Location wasn't bad, still a bit of a walk to metro, but quite central and close to coliseum. The room was clearly not freshly cleaned before we arrived as the floor and sheets were dusty and the mugs were dirty, we had to wash it ourselves. The hallway was cramped all the way through the front of our room door with just sacks of cleaning equipment and dirty towels. The room did not look like the images shown at all. Barely enough space to move. The toilet would run water all the time, the tv didn't work. When messaged about issues in the toilet and the tv, staff ignored the messages. We were not told the means for payment on city tax was cash only until 11:30pm the night before checkout, prompting us to wake early the next day to find nearest atm to get cash out. Simply one of the worst experiences for accommodation ever. It's not worth the price by any means.

Amazing location, beautiful high ceilings. Everything needed and staff are amazingly helpful even with a language barrier! One thing I wasn’t keen on was the old water tank on the balcony.
