The hotel has an older, classic feel that gives it plenty of personality. My room was comfortable, the bed slept well, the air conditioning worked perfectly, the lighting created a relaxing atmosphere, and everything in the room functioned as it should. One of my favorite features was having a private balcony overlooking the street and walking plaza. It was a wonderful place to sit, relax, and take in the sights and sounds of the neighborhood. What truly makes this hotel special is the staff. Every employee I encountered was incredibly friendly, attentive, and eager to help. I even used the laundry service, which was completed quickly for a very reasonable fee. During breakfast, I had the opportunity to meet the owner, and she was just as warm and welcoming as the rest of her team. It's easy to see that her kindness and hospitality have shaped the culture of the hotel. The only issue I noticed was the presence of very small ants in my room, particularly in the bathroom, as well as occasionally in the hallways. They were never overwhelming or disruptive, and I suspect it's simply one of the challenges that comes with maintaining a beautiful older building in a tropical climate. A routine pest control treatment would likely take care of the issue. Overall, the outstanding staff, comfortable accommodations, and charming atmosphere far outweighed that minor concern. I genuinely enjoyed my stay and would happily return. If you value exceptional service, a welcoming environment, and the unique character that only a boutique hotel can offer, Hotel Class Colonial is an excellent choice. The only drawbacks I experienced were related to the hotel's location rather than the hotel itself. Because it's situated in a lively, historic area, the streets can be fairly active during the evening. If your room overlooks the walking plaza, you should expect some street noise until around 10:30 or 11:00 p.m. After that, the activity gradually tapers off, and by the early morning hours the area becomes quiet and peaceful. Another thing to be aware of is that the neighborhood has people who frequently approach visitors offering massages, tours, transportation, and other unsolicited services. While this is common in many popular tourist districts, I found the repeated offers to be more of a nuisance than a benefit. Fortunately, a polite "No, thank you" was usually enough to move on. On the positive side, the hotel's location is excellent for exploring the historic district on foot. Many restaurants, shops, and landmarks are just steps away, making it an ideal base for sightseeing. These minor inconveniences are simply part of staying in a vibrant city center and did not diminish the excellent hospitality or the quality of the hotel itself.

The staff was beautiful, professional, and friendly -very helpful. The house keepers kept the room spotless clean. The location is perfect. I got one of the rooms with balcony which was great! Don’t expected to be monastery quiet cause the street is very active, but fun if you like the city life. Your near and close to a lot restaurants and stores. There is a supermarket nearby which is very handy. The hot water was hot!! Don’t play with it. There a slight pest control issue with these really tiny tiny ants. If you leave food laying, you know ants -they’ll go to work. Pretty soon you’ll see the work line of them transporting the goods to their queen or something. It was interesting to watch but still a pest and not very appealing. This is something small they could fix easily with a can of ant insecticide. I hope they read this. Also, I wish my refrigerator was a little larger. It was too small for me. And lastly, it would be nice if there was a small cheap microwave in the room. This would be so convenient instead of having to ask the front desk to heat up things for you.

Driving into the city and parking was difficult

Location was good, breakfast was good, size room was really good. When we arrived they took too long to open the main door for us, so we had to wait about 20min outside in the street.

Will and his staff , Breakfast , Location Wished there was a balcony room available .

Location is directly on calle El Conde. A couple of blocks west of the Cathedral. Staff is friendly, even the owners were there and said hello, asking if I needed anything. Breakfast was served 8-10. Very good, made to order. Sheets and towels were good quality. It's an older building and it shows if you look closely. Some of the furniture could use a little updating too. The shower was very narrow. Some rooms do not have windows so be careful if that's a problem.

No chair in room. Ants in the room.

Excellent location right next to Calle Conde which is the main street. Great breakfast and all activities walking distance. Felt safe at the location also.

The location is very convenient because it is close to the main strip of La Zona, yet there was no noise from the street which made it easy to rest. The bed was comfortable enough since I slept an entire day after partying until the morning. Reception was pleasant and helpful. The room had a working fridge with two sealed water bottles along with an actual closet and a full dresser which I appreciated. The air conditioning was also very strong and I even had to turn it off a few times because it got too cold. For the price, there are better hotels in the area and the overall atmosphere of the rooms feels like an old motel. The hotel was very difficult to find at night and the entrance is confusing since the door opens to a bench and a staircase with reception located on the second floor. Room quality varies a lot since each one looks different and some are clearly older than others. My first room had standing water in the shower and a lot of mosquitos so I asked to change rooms. Unfortunately the second room, although cleaner, was more dated and the fridge made a constant loud noise that I had to unplug just to sleep. There was also a hole in the shower tile that I ended up covering with paper. The room door did not feel secure because it had no real knob, only a deadbolt and a cabinet style handle to pull it open. I also chose not to get anything from the bar because the three Cokes they offered were all warped and although reception said it was due to pressure in the bottles it did not make sense at sea level and did not inspire confidence.

How close it was to everything. Great breakfast choices. Tasted good too. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Great internet connection The walls are thin, so you can hear everything. Wasn't much an issue for me.
