Hôtel Ettenheim

It is a very lovely place. The rooms are spacious, bathroom ok, but the best part is the people. Rarely have i seen kinder people, they really take care of you and make you feel like family.

The room was beautiful and HUGE! Felt historic and very nice. The location is great. Walking distance to all the Christmas markets.

The reception is in another building. Very hard parking.

Very clean and great location , just next to the touristic sights but outside the crowds The only thing I believe could be improved is the heating situation. Both rooms were cold when we arrived. It was already cold enough outside and a 18 C temperature is not warm enough. I wish they could assure the rooms are heated up before arrivals, otherwise we wait already inside until the temperature rises.

We had trouble exiting the area the next morning and didn't really have clear instructions on how to do that. We didn't realize we were inside a complex with exit requirements. It took us about 45 minutes and someone finally took pity on us and let us out.

Rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. Location was walkable to main attractions. This is NOT a hotel. Travelling to a 4 star hotel and paying over 1000 euro for 3 nights accommodation we expected to have a hotel experience. Be aware this offering is simply rooms like an airbnb perfect for one person on business or something. At the same time it is also not self catering i.e. there is no kitchen etc. no balcony nothing like that. There is no lobby no reception no bar no restaurant (cafe across the street) no pool (although it says you can use a pool somewhere for 20 euro per hour for 2 people. I really didn't understand this .. the reality is this hotel does not have a pool. There were 4 of us so I wasn't able to pay 40 euro everytime. As contrast and to explain my point of view, we had just left a real hotel where we had paid the same price and had breakfast buffet options, dinner restaurants where we could spend time as a family and go to the pool area which was of course included in price for hotel guests. It was all part of the fun. This experience was extremely disappointing for all of us .. we rarely have the luxury of staying in a hotel and saved all year only to be stuck in separate rooms with nothing to do. I think you have to be careful when you use booking.com because some establishments are extremely misleading. Lesson learned. I didn't take photos because there was nothing memorable for us about this accommodation. Strasbourg is beautiful however and saved the trip!

Room was clean and nice. Breakfast was delicious. Air-condition didn't work, it was very hot inside, because of baby we couldn't keep windows open all the time. Pool and wellness conditions were not good, very small and dark spaces.

The continental breakfast which we paid extra for was wonderful. Hotel was close to town for the Christmas markets. Our room was accessed from a courtyard outside of the property. Didn’t feel safe for two female travellers. No natural light came into the room so it was a bit depressing. Expensive for the room we had.

Great location but a bit hard to find due to no visible logo name on outside of building. But the staff was wonderful and a nice stay overall. Shower was a bit awkward and got the entire bathroom wet but what great water pressure.

Beautiful deluxe family room at the top of the building, with excellent Air-Conditioning, beautiful furnishings, and comfortable mattress. Great dinner and breakfast, with very very friendly staff.
