Everything was fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and very friendly. We appreciated the coffee and other “treats” that were available throughout the day in the dining area.

the location Our stay was unfortunately affected by several issues. To begin with, the parking situation was extremely complicated and very stressful. The instructions were unclear, and some important information was missing. We arrived by car on a very narrow street and waited in front of the hotel because we could see the parking entrance, but we didn’t have the key to access it. I called the emergency number three times at around 5:00 p.m., but no one answered. We ended up waiting for about an hour because we had no idea how to open the parking gate. Thankfully, another hotel guest was kind enough to lend us the parking key. It would have been very helpful if we had been informed in advance that we first needed to go into the hotel to collect the parking key before driving into the parking area. The room itself was fine, but the cleanliness was disappointing. We found insects in the room, and there was a lot of dust, which made it feel as though it had not been cleaned properly.

Met veel liefde gerenoveerd. Lijkt een ouderwets herenhuis maar er is toch airco en een lift.

The place was clean and nicely decorated, it was nice to have the little communal kitchen area with free tea and coffee etc. and access to a tap for drinking water. I did not enjoy the digital only experience- it was unclear to me at first how to use the digital key and I had to call (expensive international call!) to gain access. The staff were helpful however and got the problem resolved. The room was clean and nicely decorated but smaller than it appeared in the pictures, however perfectly fine. It is simply a personal preference but I prefer hotels with staff and facilities like a bar onsite that make a place feel more lively, however this place will be a great option if you don’t mind the digital option.

Amazing location in the middle of the Hague but you wouldn't know it until you stepped outside. Facilities downstairs were great with lovely space to sit and relax. Some of the best bars in the Hague right on your doorstep.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and felt this hotel offers an excellent price-to-quality ratio. The start of our stay wasn't ideal. Before arrival we received quite a large number of emails and notifications, many of which didn't really add value. More importantly, the instructions for accessing the hotel's parking could be much clearer. As the hotel is located right in the historic city centre, close to a pedestrian area, reaching it by car is not straightforward. The narrow streets are busy with pedestrians and cyclists, and finding the entrance to the parking garage was more stressful than it needed to be. Clearer directions (perhaps including a map or photos) would make a big difference. Our room was also not quite ready at the announced check-in time. That said, once we settled in, our impression changed completely. The location is absolutely fantastic, you can hardly stay more centrally while still enjoying a quiet hotel. Our room on the third floor was spacious, comfortable, very clean and tastefully decorated. We especially enjoyed the lovely view over the rooftops of The Hague, which gave the room a charming atmosphere. The lounge and reception area downstairs are also very cosy and inviting. We didn't have breakfast because we were leaving early for Delft, but judging by the overall quality of the hotel, I'm sure it would have been very good as well. What impressed me most is the value for money. I rarely say this, but in this case the price-quality ratio is genuinely excellent. With a few improvements to the arrival experience, this hotel would easily deserve five stars.

Very nice, cozy and clean and good location. I'd definitely stay there again. Too bad there's no reception, it's nicer to interact with a person than do everything online and with an AI assistant. 1 day before my arrival I still didn't have my online check in email and had to call the morning of the arrival day and then they helped last minute but yeah a bit inconvenient that I have to stress about that and spend my time making calls.

We loved everything about ARQ Paleis Hotel the room was extremely comfortable and our Host went out of her way to be helpful. The location was perfect. We throughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

They were very accommodating towards my needs. For example, when I needed to leave my luggage on the ground floor they were able to hold it there free of charge. When I needed to get my laundry done, they were super helpful trying to find the best spot and ended up helping me with the laundry free of charge! I also had a free brownie and champagne when I first arrived which was a very nice touch. Bonus of having a fridge! nothing

Lovely hotel and would definitely recommend it. But note that there is no staff on the premises. Everything is automated. The room was amazing, clean and well-decorated, and I appreciated the gift of prosecco and chocolate that was there when I arrived. It was impersonal because there was no staff. At first, the code didn't work and there was no one to let me in.
