The location was okay for us. I will mention it is not family friendly considering there is a prostitution ring and construction all around the hotel. The hotel had the worst smell imaginable. Instantly smelled sweat when we walking into our room. I had to call the front desk to bring us different pillows in the middle of the night because the smell was unbearable. Also there are smoking rooms on the same floor as non smoking rooms so you can smell it in the hallways. There were nasty things stuck to the floor of the shower. Definitely was not cleaned well.

Location, amenities, view from restaurant, staff, aroma in lobby area and configuration in room. Restaurant staff slightly rushed me and I had difficulty explaining why my main course not edible. My fault I ordered lemon chicken to get a break from sodium/starchy food. View was excellent.

Great location, clean and nice staffs Very cold air conditioning, temperature could not be raised despite all our attempts on AirPad like command.

The hotel staff were amazing with their customer service, politeness and courtesy. Unfortunately, this was the only thing I liked about the hotel. I did not feel as if this hotel merits five stars, when compared to others in this category in Japan. The room I had (901) was a bit tired, with marked walls, torn chair upholstery. It lacked features, fittings and overall elegance commensurate with a five star standard. The breakfast, albeit for the ¥4,000 paid, was poor value compared to the wide-ranging buffet present at other hotels, albeit for a cheaper price.

The staff at the casitas (bar/restaurant) are very friendly, polite and competent On our last day, they gave us coffee with edible print of our picture. Very warm surprise! The food served came with disgusting hair. They took it out of our tab. It lacks facilities especially gym. Small lobby, We were expecting 5-star hotel as was advertised, but it lacked amenities. They also had no english chanels to watch on TV-- not even news

Everything was great! I would come to this hotel on my next visit to Japan.

The staff was so sweet and professional.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location in downtown Tokyo. We loved our stay there and it met all our expectations. Everyone was courteous and friendly, especially in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner.

The location only, maybe? After staying at Mandarin Oriental Tokyo and Waldorf Astoria Osaka, I was surprised that this hotel is rated five stars as them.In my opinion, it did not meet the standards I would expect from a five-star property. There was no room service or food service available, and the overall experience did not match the rating. The most disappointing part was the gap between the hotel’s reputation and the actual stay. Overall, it was not a satisfying experience for us.

I like the location. The service is excellent. My room had a nice view. The room is very nice just small. Hard to fit with luggage

the rest. was grat for breakfast, but so so for dinner( italian meh)

I truly appreciated the friendliness of the restaurant staff during breakfast. The Japanese breakfast was delightful, especially paired with their coffee. I also enjoyed the cleanliness of the dining area and the hotel's convenient location. The staff judges you by the way you are dressed, completely unwelcoming you after a 12 hours flight ( they can see potential see that from the reservation) $30Cad for a breakfast is extremely high for the choices provided, ( not worth it) the interior is old and the fact that the lighting is low is making it even worse etc etc. way overpriced . Except the location, the cost might should not be more than $400/night including breakfast. You have three choices for breakfast-Japanese ( very good) French toast or American (sausage and eggs). Outside food has much more to offer

Excellent location, very clean Very small rooms, but this is normal for Tokyo

The Celestine was definitely a splurge for us, but it was worth it given that it was our first hotel in Japan, and we had arrived with my in-laws, who are in their 80s. The hotel provides all necessary amenities. The rooms were super clean and came with fancy robes to boot. We felt very pampered there, and everyone was so kind. Beds large and comfortable. Also, location was great in the heart of Ginza. The only drawback was that we couldn't get the room temperature below 20 Celsius and the windows won't open, and the bed sheets are very warm, so it was a bit too warm for us at night on the 11th floor (heat rising from lower rooms maybe).

Rooms can be very small, concierge service is very limited.
-
The room was hot despite having air conditioning. Unfortunately, it wasn’t very effective, and the noise made it difficult to sleep.

Location Rooms were very small
