The People Hostel - Tours

We got double bed room, it was perfect. Location is great. Stuff is kind, they allowed us to leave our stuff in storage room after check out . It was little bit hot during july since there is no AC. No hairdryer in room and there was no enough shampoo in the room.

Great hostel!!! Highly recommend. Easy to locate, great staff, very clean, secure bike room, and access to kitchen facilities. Can’t think of anything.

Very friendly staff! Nice 4-person dorm I stayed in. The “free wifi” was a pain. Using the public wifi with no password is never as good as real wifi. It constantly disconnects, and I could never get it to work on my e-reader.

The electric stove in the kitchen was not working

It was in a good spot and very clean.

Location I had a 4- female room. I stayed for 6 nights. The drain for both shower and vanity were clogged. I talked to the front desk on the 1st night but nothing appeared to be done for the time I was there. The public kitchen is also too small - a table with 4 chairs crammed the place and 2 big trash bins take the rest of the place. The location is great. Staff are efficient checking in and out.

The receptionist was friendly at first but then seemed less so when I found it difficult to understand her explanation about how I would access my cycle the next morning . I felt that she became slightly impatient . It is reasonably priced and not too far from the train station . Appreciated having a bathroom en-suite . The fan in the bed-space didn’t work . Of course I didn’t realise this until I was settling into bed so it was too late to do anything about that . I left early in the morning and didn’t have time to pass this fault into staff. I complained about my meal to staff . The burger was ok at best but the fries were just like warm crumbs of dried out potato . It was replaced with a smaller portion of similar quality fries , ( but at least hot ) . The waitress dumped it on the table in front of me and didn’t say a word . There was no apology or explanation . The mattress in the bed space sits very low down in the bed space ( obviously meant for a mouth thicker mattress ) so it was actually quite difficult to get out of the bed . I thought the food was overpriced .

It's really cool to have both an elevator and stairs available. In some of the hostels/hotels I've stayed, there were only elevators: stairs are only for emergency use... Only 4 beds in a room. Nice. The bed is a bit too soft but I know it's personal preference. Some how after 8 days my skin started feeling itchy, perhaps it would be good to just place a protective layer between the sheets and the mattress?

Very convenient: there is a bus stop almost right in front of the hostel. Two Tram stations are also close by. The Tours Train Station lies within walking distance (approximately 12 minutes) and it took me a quarter of an hour to the Flixbus stop with my luggage. It would be good to have a sink in the toilet, too. (Not just in the shower room)

Friendly staff, clean environment and their quick response to fix issues (microwave oven or clogged sink)! Each person gets only one hanger for our personal closet ?

Very nice hostel , such as hotel . Everything clean and stylish . The dorm room was very nice , new , clean and comfortable. Your bed has full privacy . Just out of the final stop of the T2 line . Very nice . I really recommending the place .

Really friendly and helpful staff, was able to safely store my bag during the day. Shared room setup was good. It was hot at night and the fan in my sleeping space didn't work, so didn't really sleep well. It would also be good to provide a small table space for people in the upper bunks as well as locks for the cupboards in case someone has devices and other valuables they want to keep secure. However, the other women in my room was friendly and I fully trusted them, also I stayed only one night.

No soap for the shower

The bunk beds, which had raised rims that made them hard to get into and even harder to get out of (many rooms have non-bunk beds).

Delightful hostel with pretty good facilities. Garden and common space was really nice. Bike storage kind of annoying to get to, but we valued the bikes were secure. Staff was lovely and location is a 30 second walk to the grocery store. Rooms were great for families and I appreciate the quiet hours were respected. Kitchen was a bit dirty, "chill out room" was more of a furniture storage area and the bathroom in our guest room wasn't fully cleaned.
