Al Theatro Palace

The location cannot be beaten. (We kept getting lost but the hotel is within a few steps of the Venice Opera House - La Fenice - so in truth it was just misreading Google Maps.) Close to the Grand Canal and St. Marks Square. Breakfast we good. Staff were delightful (helpful and courteous). I suppose something could always be better but we were very pleased by our experience at the Al Theatro. It's a very hot summer in Europe - go in the spring or fall.

Clean great breakfast and the air conditioning was very good considering it was almost 100 degrees when there. It was a little difficult to navigate the winding alleys to find it but eventually we caught on

Location, staff and breakfast. They were unable to turn on air conditioners this time of year. So it was very hot in the rooms. We opened the windows but mosquitoes came in. There were no screens on the windows. Rooms were also very small for 2 people.

Clean room, very comfortable with the pull-out bed made for us. Very friendly staff at the front desk and during breakfast service.

The location was perfect—just a short walk to many landmarks, cafés, restaurants, and shops. Breakfast was fantastic, with options to please every palate, and the staff were truly wonderful. Our room was clean, and comfortable. A special thanks to Luca, who was incredibly helpful, funny, knowledgeable, and kind. My only complaint is that the towel warmer in the bathroom wasn’t working, so the towels stayed damp and developed a musty smell. I usually prefer to reuse towels to be environmentally conscious, but since the warmer wasn’t functioning, I had no choice but to request fresh ones each day.

Convenient location close to major landmarks, shops, restaurants, and public attractions Beautiful, modern, and cozy rooms. However, the bathroom had no heating, which made it uncomfortably cold. I prefer reusing towels to be eco-friendly, but without heat, they stayed damp and smelled. Turning on heated towel racks would improve comfort and support sustainability

The staff (Luca) was extremely helpful and acomodating. All other staff were found to be friendly and helpful. The bed was just a little saggy on one side. The bed was a bit uncomfortable.
