The room was not very clean the bathroom had a lot of mold in the ceiling and tiles it smell funny and they have bedbugs i got bitten on my arms and stomach.

Location is right by The Plaza. Everyone is so nice and kind.

Clean, easy access, close to many places.

What I liked most about Gran Hotel Diligencias is that it really gives you that classic Veracruz experience—you’re right in the heart of everything, with comfort and a bit of old-school charm. Perfect location (this is the BIG one) You’re literally steps from the zócalo, the port, and the cathedral—everything is walkable. You can hear music, danzón, or events from the plaza—it feels alive and cultural It has that historic, elegant vibe, not just a modern generic hotel You’re in the middle of everything happening (like your cabalgata, salsa nights, etc.) Because it’s so central… it can get noisy at night (especially during events or celebrations) Some areas feel a bit older or classic (not super modern luxury). The carpet is very old, and my recommendation is time to replace it. The room is old, spacious, old furniture and old showers that needs to be remodeling.. The toilet has a bad smell, especially in the morning, when we had to get pinol to help with the smell...it was not dirty ,but the plumbing is old and causes such bad smells..

The place was great and comfortable, but little things like sloppy paint jobs and water pooling around the bathtub/shower lead to a diminished experience. Would still recommend this hotel to friends

Location Cleaning if the room and the decor of the room is lacking

location is perfect, near downtown center and has lots of restaurants and landmarks close, just a walk by of couple of blocks. It has a parking by valet so it's really convenient and the price was really great. the place is a bit old, needs some renewal and remodeling done at the rooms, when I got there, the WC seat was broken, fortunately, they fixed it right away.

Eduardo at the front desk was extremely helpful to us -- he is also very friendly and charming. Many of the other frontdesk people do not speak English and are not eager to help.

Location is great. Very old, needs remodeling.

Noise level was low and rooms were close together.

Very clean hotel The gentleman that helps you carry your luggage had a very awful attitude! I am disable and he did not even offer to assist in loading our luggage in the taci cab. He should not be there with that type of attitude!

The location is the only thing worth about this hotel. The staff at the parking area are really nice. Everything is old, showers are uncomfortable, doors don’t work, bed is uncomfortable. It’s very basic and expensive. We extended our stay because all else was sold but I’d never stay here again.

Not worth it.

People are celebrating until 4am.
