LVG Hotel Collection - Belvedere San Gottardo

Location was good and close to the ferry station We had a lot of electricity issues with our room initially and after 2 sleepless and tiring nights the staff changed our room but despite they knew the air conditioning wasn't working in a humid 35 degrees and yet still they moved us to that room and for more 2 nights no sleeping! We raised the issue multiple times and they kept saying yes yes yes we will fix it and them eventually they stopped answering reception calls and kept dropping the phone!!! Until I went down and mentioned how bad the situation and room weather is! We were only able to sleep the last night unfortunately

Old and run down

Very comfortable room, nice and big, beautiful view of the lake from the front balcony. Staff were all friendly and helpful. They even had a little gift available for our dogs on arrival. Many great shops, restaurants, etc in easy walking distance. The breakfast buffet was perfectly fine, nothing extraordinary, but for coffee, I recommend the nearby bars instead!

Great location, friendly, accommodating staff and very nice breakfast. I had a lovely balcony terrace with an amazing view of the lake. My staff coincided with the Giro d’Italia which is like a 3 ring circus immediately outside the hotel but the staff handled the chaos with remarkable professionalism.

Awesome breakfast!! Everything you’d ever want!! Parking was a little challenging! The market on the street and in the parking lot in front of the hotel made the close parking off limits…so we had to walk a bit back from the one assigned is.

Location and accommodation

The room is top in terms of comfortability, location and cleanliness. The staff is very nice, polite and helpful. The breakfast is good. The parking is too small. They gave us a parking thats hard to park even though there‘s a parking area space that is way better easier to park and empty. In the room we can hear the noise from outside. When somebody is talking or walking. The mini bar have only water. Maybe ots better when there‘s also a coke or finger food.

Everything! The view! The location! The service! The bed! The shower! All excellent.

Milk at breakfast was almost always sour, no free parking options, bed very hard, plenty of spiders and webs on the balcony

All was perfect

It was fantastic. Such a beautiful old house with such amazing looking Style inside. On point. We were so happy. Lake Lago Maggiore 10 Meters away! You dont find that Style in Germany! Italian way of live. That was reason to go to italy again. To the left of Hotel some nice Restaurants. Little balkoni. So nice to drink Glas of wine.. We will come back ! Heiner Kuhlmann

Staff were particularly helpful in finding a solution after I made a mistake in the booking.

This is a nice hotel in a good location, with a certain Wes-Anderson-Feel to it. The view from the fourth floor corner bedroom is absolutely fantastic and makes up for the slightly suboptimal heating options (this was only a problem, because it was very cold and windy weather).

The breakfast is very good, there is a wide variety of cold cuts, cheese, bread, sweeties, corn flakes, etc. The room was big enough and well equipped. The location is very nice, the hotel is right at the lake, it is very pleasent to walk or have a coffee while watching the swans and ducks.

Superb

In a hystoric building, with view on the lake Maggiore for our deluxe room, close to the center, a 5 minutes walk. Big parking right in front of the hotel. Staff very friendly and supportive. Great breakfast. Strong wifi. Rooms clean, confortable, well fitted for a 4 star. Beds very confortable. A nice bar restaurant. The greatest choice for Verbania. We would come back with pleasure. 10
