Renovated and re-opened under a new owner in August 2017, the Riess City Rooms - Self Check-in enjoys a central location, a 5-minute walk from the Ringstraße Boulevard and a 10-minute walk from Vienna University. Tram line D stops just 656 feet away and gets you to the heart of the city and to Nußdorf with its characteristic Heurigen wine taverns. the room was super clean and self check-in was so easy with video description. the bed was not that comfortable but for a couple of days it was ok. the street was busy, so it was noisy. no air conditioner was challenging.

The location is not far from the city center and it's a nice neighborhood with restaurants/cafés and grocery store nearby. I find the check in process easy and they have a common kitchen where you can find a water cooker, dishwasher, refrigerator, plates, glasses and utensils. They also offer free coffee and teas. They also have a laundry area. It's not air-conditioned. They provided fans but I went during a heatwave where the temperature was about 38-40⁰C. Needless to say that the fan was not enough. I had a very hard time sleeping during those days. You will not be able to cook your own food in the common kitchen. I didn't find a stove, microwave or knives.

A localização é excelente e a limpeza muito boa. Dispõe de uma cozinha super agradável. A senhora da limpeza foi super prestativa sempre que acionada. Quartos extremamente quentes, e o mini ventilador disponibilizado não é suficiente.

The location is superb — tram station is just 5-7 minutes from the apartments. The metro station is also not far. You’ll find a grocery store just around the corner and lovely coffee places in 10-15 minutes walk. The self check in is also very nice, the process is easy and was additionally explained in the message from the hotel. My room was small, but for 1 person it is really a great option, there was a lot of space and a fan which was crucial at the time I was visiting. I was visiting during a heat wave and the fact that there wasn’t an ac in the room was a bit upsetting, but I totally get it. Still extremely grateful for the fan!

The property is about 20 min far from the city center. Pubblic transports are easy to catch, facilities are close as well.
