Good hotel but need urgent update
-
The service was not good. The hotel and room were ok, location ok. But service and valet parking terrible
-
Dirty carpet, big stain on room carpet. Acoustic terrible, you can hear regular voice level next door conversations.... The seal between wall and window is a home depot foam seal, that is not an acoustic rated joint material.... For a $300 night hotel is not acceptable

Such a treat! Historic hotel with a 1970s opulence vibe, amazing shower water pressure, excellent food and service at the restaurant. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
-
Unfortunately, despite paying for and getting an “upgraded” room with river views, the desk looked damaged (old water damage), and the toilet roll holder was broken after the cleaning crew did their regular cleaning. The staff was wonderful, the food and service amazing, and in general the stay was fantastic, but was disappointed to see unappealing details such as the aforementioned ones.

Service was great, the pool was a bit chilly, but very nice

Fantastic experience! Well worth the money.

The spa area is nice. The bathrooms were very nice. The watergate complex is in need of capital improvements. However, the decor of the hotel itself is spectacular and unique. The food associated was the Kingbird was terrific and the staff was cordial and courteous.

We had a Suite on 3rd floor on corner with wrap around balcony. The shower is amazing and so is room service food. Having extra half bath is def a plus. Staff are very nice. There is a liquor store right in building downstairs next door and Tazza for breakfast and dinner (good pizza). Just far enough away from very touristy area, but a quick 5 min uber gets you to sights in dc without hassle. Good place to reach museums and Georgetown outside of dc. Furniture is a little beat up, but did not deter from our comfort. There was construction outside, but you could not hear anything really through insulated windows. Wish half of the fridge was not filled, so we could have put some of our waters in it so they would be cold.

The Westgate was great, lovely clean room.. it’s a beautiful hotel! Can’t wait to come back.
-
Its was nice, but balcony veiw is obstructed by a huge tree so you cant see much of the River view
-
Nice spa area
-
Great looking hotel with an unusual history in a safe area with plenty of things to see within walking distance.

Great staff but not worth the price tag. We stayed for the history but regretted not being in the middle of the action. Crazy prices for water and no store nearby to buy any. Paid a lot extra for a river view that was not only obstructed by construction but noisy because of it! So a waste of money. Nice staff, they try hard, just can’t make up for shortcomings.
