Westgate Historic Williamsburg Resort

Lovely spot that was very close to where I needed to be so could walk. Rooms were clean with a full kitchen. Comfortable beds, nice A/C, great fitness room. It's more of a "motel" so people are walking by your room so curtains can't be opened unless you want everybody to see in.

Available amenities Room had no AC and the portable unit was not able to keep up with 95+ degree temperatures outside.

Staff seemed very annoyed at questions and did not give off a very hospitable vibe. We stayed one night and switched hotels for the second night of our stay in Williamsburg.

The authenticity and location. There is a nice character to it. Cleaning in the hallways and elevators can be improved; a bit unwelcoming elevators. Check-in took 25min.. very slow and only one receptionist. There were staff but chilling on the side and philosophying rather than helping their colleague.

The internet service could be way better. Could barely get any service in unit. Also, there should be more than the number of bedrooms per device allowed.

Some of the rooms had window air units since the main air wasn’t working. The window units were great but pretty loud. Check in was very easy and simple. Unfortunately the playground and mini golf were closed so there wasn’t much for kids to do while there.

Exceptional

The location is great near many things Walking and driving . The room was clean. The lobby was clean. Staff was nice. Only thing was air was messed up but the had portable windows units. Outdoor pool kiddie and jacuzzi but it's nice It was storming in lightning a little the close pool but many times it didn't do nun they didn't open it back up..

Pool was so nice, I really enjoyed what activities were available The AC was broke in my room and it was hot and gross.. I did not sleep well because of it being 80 degrees. The beds were small and not comfortable.

I had an absolute blast here. The rooms are beautiful and impeccably clean. Staff is excellent and very helpful. We came for a staycation and will be back!

This property was fine. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My issue was with the services or lack of. Maybe I should have known this but I definitely did not read it anywhere. There are no services. No one cleans your room or makes your bed or removes your trash. Sheets and towels are provided upon request and you leave the dirty linens and trash outside your door. Again, maybe I should have known this was a timeshare but I did not and it was not written anywhere but on a sheet that they handed us in at check in. The pool was very nice although I did not use it but many people did and seem to enjoy it. They are making improvements to the outside like mini golf grilling areas and pickleball. I feel this property is good for certain people but not us.

My husband and I came here for a little couples retreat and we absolutely loved it. The room was absolutely spotless, the amenities were great and staff was really friendly and helpful. 10/10 would recommend!

After driving 7 hours I walked into the lobby and was met by Cassandra. She did not make me feel welcome and I let her negative energy ruin my stay.
