The location. And stuff

I didn't stay at the Retro because of overfilling, so I stayed at one of their other hostels. The manager Maria and the cleaning woman Rosi are vey helpful and willing to help! There were many locals who stayed and they were very loud during the night. I repeatidly had to ask them to quit shouting to the guy who was only like 1 meter away!!

Godd experience with a great hospitality

The location registered on Yandex is incorrect, and you cannot find the hostel because of it. We had to spend several minutes walking around and asking local people for help in order to find this place. It is quite surprising that a hostel which has been operating for several years still has an incorrect location registered. I hope this issue will be corrected as soon as possible.

There is no shower soap or shampoo, so be sure to bring your own (or bring your own and accidentally leave it, like I did). Hand soap is available. Also, the downside to the common area's proximity to the room is that it can be a bit loud when people are socializing into the night, especially with the window open.

Exceptional

Host was kind and communicative. The location is nice, not in the middle of all the buzz but walkable for all city sights if you're prepared to walk 20-30min. If not, metro, busses, taxi are always an option. The main building with dorms seemed even nicer than the annex in which we stayed. We did enjoy the co-living like atmosphere there (3 rooms, 1 kitchen, 2 bathrooms). The room itself had little light and shared toilets were not very clean. It was fine for two nights and value for money ratio seems fair.

Nice and cozy hostel. Note for the future guests: the facility may be a bit tricky to find, since it is deep in the yard. Look for the "Retro" graffiti, it tells you where to go :)

I can say, it was one of the best hostels I have ever seen. Very kind staff, ready to help you at any time, ready to solve all your issues. Clean, warm (even in winter time), everything you need is provided. I am very thankful, that they allowed me to check in earlier than agreed, and I didn't have to wait for 5 hours at the station or somewhere in the city. Before my arrival, they kindly helped me solve the SIM card issue and replied to all my questions about money exchange in the city and so on. The owner was always in touch. The staff were absolutely fantastic - very friendly and helpful. The area outside was great for having a tea & chatting in the evenings. The locasion is perfect, right next to the Blue mosque, bus stops, and a large supermarket - but in a quiet yard. Thank you!

Located in the downtown of Yerevan but in the same time so peaceful and quiet that you cannot feel it. Host was super helpful and the building is beautifully decorated in the Armenian style. Definitely a value for money.

Very good

Modern and clean, comfortable. Well-located, in walking distance of everything you'd need. Not too far from the metro station. Laundry service was super useful Minor annoyance - the door to the room has a decorative frosted part that let in light at night from the common space.

Great place and great owner!

Comfortable and clean room in a quite place, very nice host, central location. There are ony 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms, so it doesn't feel like typical hostel :)

The host was really helpful and kind. Location is great and silent, very close to city centre. You feel like home It's not really something about the hostel. But be careful once you arrive at Yerevan airport cause taxi driver will ask you for a disproportionate price. Ask in advance to the host!
