Hotel itself was no frills basic but extremely functional & well maintained, with friendly reception staff, comfy beds, powerful showers. All of that was 5 star worthy. However, despite 20min of calling, there was no answer when I tried to call for the supposedly 24 hr shuttle when my daughter and I arrived at the airport. We ended up having to take a taxi, which deposited us at the Hilton Garden Inn (not really his fault - they share a large lot, Google maps believes you’ve arrived at the Tru when you get to the Garden Inn, and the road signage is confusing especially at night. So we ended up walking the 7 min from the door if the Garden Inn to the Tru because once again the Tru didn’t answer the phone for the shuttle booking. After travelling for 9 hours, this was utterly miserable. A fully zero star experience. Hence I’ve given 3 stars overall. They should have an option in the phone system which transfers you straight to the shuttle driver on duty.

Great stay. Hotel is immaculate, staff very helpful. No issues with our 2 small dogs. Breakfast very good. Entire stay was 5 stars.

We had a great stay at the Tru by Albany airport! We are a family of four including two toddlers - I found this hotel very convenient with a lot to do. The indoor pool is small but well maintained and clean. The lobby has tons of seating including dining tables, couches, and desks. We had visitors and we spent 4 hours in the lobby, which also included family games and foosball. I saw staff cleaning every hour in the community spaces! There is a nice walking trail behind the hotel. While only 2 star hotel, it felt new/clean, the bed/pillows were cozy, and I loved the toiletries. The biggest perk is how convenient it is to the airport - 24/7 shuttle (on demand) and free coffee in the lobby (necessary for a 6am flight). Was pleasantly blown away by our stay here, which is why I was compelled to write this review!

Nice walking path

Check-in/checkout was easy. Staff were pleasant. The Airport Shuttle was convenient for airport arrival and departure. It was also available to take us to a nearby dinner restaurant and after a phone call, they retrieved us promptly. The shuttle drivers were knowledgeable about the areas and made us feel at ease, especially our 4:30 a.m. airport arrival. Room was adequate and quick, especially that it sits in a more woody area then the Hilton Spring Garden Hotel.

Nice property. Very well maintained grounds. Near the airport with shuttle. Felt like a boutique hotel, trendy. Staff was friendly. Had a problem with the toilet but it was resolved. I would stay again.

The board games and foosball table were a with the grandkids and the convenience to the airport for an early morning flight worked out great Breakfast service was supposed to start at 6 but was ready at 5:30 when we were leaving which was nice so we could grab something before our flight

We only stayed for one night but everything was wonderful. We were picked up at the airport quickly and checked by very friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was delicious! The games in the lobby area were a fun touch too! Would definitely return to this location for a longer stay.

Found it on a lark. Worked out wonderfully in retrospect. My wife’s flight home was cancelled due to weather in Chicago. We were able to extend and they provided her with transportation to the local area, so she wasn’t stranded in the hotel. The property itself is off the beaten path but minutes from the airport. They offer an airport shuttle with 15 minutes notice and there are food options within reasonable distance but it’s the standard fare. Taco Bell, Sonic, Chipotle, Chick-fil-a and, reigning fast food champion, Arby’s (said no one ever). There are other options if you get to the property during daylight hours.,There’s also a grocery store within 3 miles, if you’re staying more than overnight. For those returning a rental and needing to top off…exit the property, make a left at the light, drive 3/4 of a mile and it’ll be on the right. Coffee is available 24 hours, there’s a workout studio, and if you just gotta have something after the witching hour, they sell black label Top Ramen in the lobby. On property washer/dryer but there’s only one of each. Libations are limited, so buy what you need before you hole up. Beds are comfortable enough, TVs can access your subscriptions (Netflix, Hulu, etc) and they provide reasonable bathing amenities. The shower gel won’t remove your skin. Military, veterans and old folks discounts are available. And there’s foosball in the lobby. Book, stay, enjoy.

Pleasant staff, very helpful. Nice bathrooms. Reasonable prices. Clean room. Functional TV. Free continental breakfast and airport shuttle make it worth it. 24 hour coffee station and every other amenity are a bonus. Checkout before noon is also a nice addition. Would stay again.
