Dolphin Sands Clearwater Beach, an Ascend Collection Hotel

A bit on the pricy side we found our accommodation very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was extremely clean and had everything one needed. The beds and pillows were ever so comfortable. We had a beach view balcony and enjoyed the boats floating by. Even saw dolphins. The bar and restaurant on premises were nice. The small private owned beach had lounges and umbrellas one could rent for a reasonable fee. The food was superb and one could have it delivered to the bar area or pool and beach. Music was playing also. We'll definitely come back again. Definitely a place to relax and forget every day worries.

The staff was wonderful and the rooms were very clean. Wonderful vocation!

We had a partial ocean view room and it was so loud every night with people yelling at 3am down by the parking ramp and pool. Things they show online are very different in person. Staff friendly. Private beach nice but not somewhere I will stay again. Room way too small and noisy.

Everything was very nice :-) the only thing that we had issue with was one of the elevators was always broken so that was difficult, but that’s something that they were working on. But the staff was wonderful, very accommodating and nice, and cannot have asked for a better little mini vacation.

The entire vacation was extremely nice

we got there at Saturday afternoon and we stayed till Wednesday asked for housekeeping on Monday. They said they were gonna come do a light cleaning and they didn’t so we had to ask for towels and toilet paper. The rooms were very clean when we got there, the hotel was very clean. That was the only problem that we had.

It was great for solo trip. It was walking distance from many restaurants and Pier 60. Walking directly out to the beach was great. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful because I kept forgetting my key in my room. Definitely a nice space if you need a room and planning to spend your time by the pool or at one of the cabanas.

This time, maybe the heat, maybe more people (we're usually there in March) 'some' staff were less than friendly....not terrible...just THERE. long wait times at bar (probably due mainly to drinks in a coconut) they're very time consuming. The hotel is pretty basic but comfortable and clean. If we come back, we'll try May.

Our stay was wonderful! Location was great, room was very clean, and it was quiet at night. It was great being right on the beach too! The staff was so helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back!!

Private beach and tiki bar were nice. Safe place to stay with multiple places to eat in walking distance. Pool could stay open later, pool does not need to be heated. It is not refreshing.

This little place packs a mighty punch! From the outside, it doesn't seem like much, but the facilities are fantastic! The beach is clean and private. The bar is excellent, has great food, and they have music all weekend long. There's also a restaurant attached that is very good! Will definitely stay again!

Location was excellent… Parking garage too expensive. Checking in and out was a nightmare. Although I paid ahead for 5 rooms, I was still asked to pay upon checking in. Only after showing receipts and bank statements was I somewhat believed. When I left, my room was still under the study of the management. I will not use Booking.com again!

And you can't take your own cooler. On y'all's beach, you have to pay to pay ten dollars a drink.That's something you need to know

I love watching the beachfront even dou it was partial from the balcony. I like that I could walk to hear the music from other hotel . But everything was great. The hotel is small but it was great.. The elevator is small .

My wife and I stayed there for a week for our Honeymoon in June and it was great. Friendly staff, great beach, room was clean and bed was comfortable, great food and drinks on site. We already booked our next stay in January!

While the ocean view was true, 2 queen sized beds was not ideal, nor was the condition of the room… However I only have good things to say about everything else. Staff was great, they all seemed like they actually liked working there. The beach was awesome, the restaurant and bar were fantastic, and it is within walking distance to a small grocery store, liquor store, and a stuf style. (I think everywhere in Clearwater is within walking distance to one of those stores)
