The Glidden House

Charming hotel. A bit dated but with an excellent staff. Convenient location. Good value for the price.

I have stayed here many times and every time I do, it is a sincere treat and premium experience. I have never been disappointed at the Glidden House in the past, and this time was no different. Stellar stay, as always.

The property is an excellent historical property that is in walking distance to Little Italy restaurants and multiple museums and the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. These are the reasons we choose to stay here when we are traveling through Cleveland.

Glidden House is a National Landmark and located in the best of Cleveland. Only bad experiences was using Expedia which was the highest price of any site including the hotel. Won’t use Expedia ever again.

The room was a bit musty. Parking was difficult due to there being a wedding. Ok stay, but not great for the money.

The breakfast was good, and the staff were consistently professional, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The location was especially perfect for us—it’s just a stone’s throw from the freshman dorms at Case Western Reserve, making it incredibly convenient for move-in day and future visits. If you’re looking for a hotel with history, charm, great service, and an unbeatable location near CWRU, The Glidden House is a great choice. We would definitely stay here again!

Really beautiful inside and out. Good example of reuse of a historic building. Friendly people. Beautiful design. Comfortable. Wonderful breakfast. Right on campus.

Friendly staff, quiet rooms and good breakfast No bottled water in room and bed linens were a little synthetic

Very clean - great breakfast Housekeeping had already stripped our bed and removed towels/soap from our bathroom before we checked out. We went to Cleveland clinic for my appointments and ate breakfast upon our return. We were surprised housekeeping had been in our room when we returned from breakfast.

The location is fabulous! So close to so many interesting places and things to do.

Great location. Walking distance to museums and trails. Easy commute to downtown for concerts as well. Really enjoyed our stay.

The rooms need to be updated. Bathrooms especially, water leaks, wallpaper peeling. Need better hotel products. Offer bottled water in the rooms. Pillows need to be updated. The staff was amazing. Answered all our questions and gave good recommendations. No restaurant but they did serve a breakfast that we missed due to an early appt. Safe and easy 20 minute walk to Cleveland Clinic. We did not use the small bar.

Great place and people are very nice

Glidden House is an absolutely gorgeous, historic property and the staff were wonderful. It was nice to spend some time in such a beautiful setting. I had one issue regarding cleanliness, and it is a common one for places like this one - unfortunately. The small in-room coffee machine was not clean. They should remove these units from rooms if they aren't going to be maintaining them. Glidden House serves an excellent breakfast, so I recommend you skip the little machine in the room and find better coffee in the lobby. PS This hotel may be haunted, it looks like a scene from a famous movie! We considered that a plus.

The property and hotel were beautiful in a gorgeous part of town surrounded by museums, cozy coffee shop, and a park-like setting. The hotel breakfast was wonderful. The scrambled eggs, bacon and pastries were perfectly prepared. Convenient location and easy drive to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, concerts, and more. We cannot wait to return and stay again. Highly recommend!

The location was fantastic and quiet with a phenomenal breakfast included. Room and bed…great. Patio? Gorgeous. Front desk and breakfast team were so accommodating and polite. The only complaint would be the bar staff. Neither of the bartenders were personable (or even polite for that matter) and messed up our bill. Maybe they both were having bad nights, so don't let that stop you from staying here because everything else was fabulous!
