The Tudor Arms Hotel Cleveland - a DoubleTree by Hilton

The staff I dealt with was excellent. The young woman that checked me in was beyond excellent. I had some hiccups in my reservations, but she went over and beyond to help me. I had a son who was recovering from open-heart surgery at Cleveland clinic and the compassion shown by the young lady at extreme time stress was beyond anything that I have dealt with in a long time. It’s these kind of people that I feel like it is tipped strongly or giving very big pay pay increases they are such assets to hotel, such as such as this.

Could have been just a random occurrence, but not a great experience.

Rooms were clean, hotel was quiet. Beds were very comfortable. Restaurant was closed for maintenance.

We learned we should have booked directly with the Tudor Arms and not used Expedia, as we would have saved more than $60 a night.

Great hotel no problems. The room was clean but beds/bedframes were worn out. Showerhead was also clogged and useless. Would stay again.

Exceptional

Staff friendly. Great cookie! On site parking. Room was pretty dirty. Floors filthy. Dirty drinking glasses. Ice bucket filled with old melted ice. Crumbs all over chair.

The uniqueness of the hotel, very cool. One of the elevators didnt work, bed was not comfortable.

Old architecture No rugs in rooms

. The beds are super comfy But the room had far from clean. Old water standing in ice bucket, dirty glasses, crumbs all over chair, dirty floors.

The staff were very good when we got there in evening , but in the morning they could not be found when really needed them. We needed help with luggage in morning , nobody around. We are in our 80+ age and we tip good, but we did it all ourselves.

It was a well maintained older hotel. The rooms had obviously been completely renovated. The rooms were of good size and would have been much more comfortable if they had a 2nd comfortable chair in the room. We asked for one which was provided. Their shuttle service to and from the Cleveland Clinic was excellent and much appreciated. The water pressure at the shower head was too low or they should have installed a low pressure shower head. The front counter staff could have been more efficient. People ended up waiting a very long time to get checked in. Lastly, they had a business center which had a new computer and a good quality printer however the printer was not correctly connected to the computer so a user could not print a simple document and the front desk staff had no idea how to make it work. See above. Also, the cleaning staff were not careful about checking all the necessary supplies in the room. For example, the liquid shower gel was empty the day we got there. When we asked the staff to take care of that, they did however inexplicably they removed the wash clothes and one or two hand towels and did not replace them. When we called the front desk on that issue, they then sent up someone from housekeeping who brought us a complete set of new towels, most of which we didn’t use because we didn’t need them.

Beautiful hotel, love all the woodwork and style! Great staff and the shuttle was great getting back and forth to Cleveland Clinic. John was a great driver, very prompt!

Everyone at the Tudor Arms was super warm and helpful, but the property itself is a little run-down. When we visited, the front door was inaccessible by car due to construction, the lobby was very hot with vainly laboring fans, and the computer system was down, adding to the feeling that the once-glamorous building has seen better days. The room was sparse and oddly laid out, as though the modern hotel was at war with the historic building. The restaurant was subpar and the coffee undrinkable, though we had some great cocktails from a talented and hospitable bartender upstairs. Again, everyone working there was awesome. They kindly comped our parking and breakfast because of the computer situation, which I'm hugely grateful for! But overall I was expecting a more luxurious place.

Our room was littered with gravel and cookie crumbs.

All staff encountered were excellent, polite and engaged. It is an old property. Updates have been done but weak water pressure, coffee pot leaves a lot to be desired since not one for pods. Had 2 cup at a time option but filled to max water line made 1 1/2. Also only 2 coffee packets limited to 1 cup each. Good charging and outlet options on nightstands.
