Baymont by Wyndham Henrietta/Rochester

Have stayed at the two windows hotels in the area I half dozen times over the past two years. This past experience was awful girl at the front desk was argumentative to the point where she canceled four day reservations so I went to the other Wyndham just down the street to find out she had made it impossible for me to say at Indie Wyndham property unbelievable anger shown by this woman

The water park was so much fun! My granddaughter mentioned it just 2 days ago!

It is a "No frills" hotel for sure. The positives were: there was a mattress encasement and a mini fridge. The negatives: it's a two floor property with NO elevator, the stairwells are gross, the floor in the room was dirty, and when I said "mini" fridge I was being generous. Also, it should be well noted upon the website because of the no elevator. My wife and I are disabled but not to the point where we need a special room but where walking up and down two flights of steps (especially with luggage it's very difficult)

Too small

No hot water, no elevator, our room on the second floor. We cancelled on the spot and moved on into the night.

The room was cleaned and well maintained. There was plenty of parking. The front desk staff was not very welcoming but it could be a late night when we arrived. It was a short overnight stay but overall, the price was excellent for a well kept facility.

Nice

The bldg is old; they have at least put new bathroom fixtures & flooring in. The room is small - Only one hook to put hangers on. There were the usual expected items. (TV needed help to work it; also remote didn't work until they fixed it). Bed was comfortable as was adjusting the temperature. However biggest issue & we not told about it during check in - NO HOT WATER - for both days. Working on it day 1 but wasn't fixed as claimed end of day 1. Day 2 no better. Finally the day we were leaving THAT morning hot water. Although desk was very nice about discussing this situation they were extremely reluctant about giving me Assist/Main manager's name and number during this time. No response anyhow. Days later Wyndham got them to give us some reward points. Breakfast was good -varied choices. Very diverse clientele but not noisy or unpleasant. Could clean hallway carpet daily; not done once while there. For the price it would have been reasonable had there been HOT water.

This was the old bait and switch. It used to be Microtel! It was a dive then and it still is. Day one, there is no elevator and I was on the second floor. I'm disabled and needed help. OK... staff helped me to the room. The power was out completely due to an accident in the neighborhood, so not this hotel's fault. But still inconvenient and very dark! The room was ok, appeared to be remodeled, very low budget. However, The Window had gaps around it so mosquitoes got in the room as well as street noise. 2nd morning... NO HOT WATER! I was there for a convention and had to bathe in cold water. I never ate the breakfast there... not much selection. Overall the staff were ok, average. Otherwise I will never stay here again.

-We advised the hotel the night before that we needed to give them a different credit card because the first one would decline. The clerk said this was not necessary. The next day our reservation was cancelled. our conversation was not recorded in their system. We found out when we got to the hotel. -The ice machines did not work. - our rooms were not cleaned while we were there. -Breakfast was not good. -We were not advised to keep credit cards and key cards separate and they had to be reset. -The deposit for two rooms has still not yet been returned to us after one week.

Conveniently located and good price for the two nights. Bed was comfortable and coffee was hot. No elevator and small breakfast area but overall a good value.

There was no hot water

Everything went fine. I wish there were an elevator since I had a pretty heavy luggage. Staff was helpful and plenty of parking.

The amenities were plentiful and well laid out. Location is very convenient and centrally located. The price clinched the choice.

The hotel was clean, and the housekeepers were extremely nice! That’s all. When we first arrived, our fridge did not work. We were placed on the second floor with tons of luggage and was told we had to move back down to the first floor for a room with a working fridge. There were no elevators and I’m an elder so it was very much draining! We moved all of our luggage just to get in the room and realize that the air conditioner was EXTREMELY loud. The hotel was booked and we had 5 nights ahead so we couldn’t change rooms without having to bounce around everyday. Not only was the AC loud, but the beds were hard and uncomfortable so for 5 NIGHTS MY FAMILY HAD THE WORST SLEEP! The second night the AC completely stopped working out of nowhere, I go to pick up the phone to call the front desk and guess what? The phone wasn’t working either. The city had a power outage, and the hotel didn’t have a backup generator so we were without power for one of the days. We were told our room door was “swollen” from the heat (it was only between 70-80 degrees mind you), so we literally had to SLAM it closed every time we left or entered the room. The stay was an annoyance and I’m sure I will definitely second guess about going back.

Be careful leaving review instead of using it to improve they will put you on a do not rent list .which as a company who you send ques to you should be alarmed by this practice and investigate it further for it prevents accurate reviews and maybe you may need to consider perhaps removing them from your list if this is found to be their practice! Please follow up with me .

Nothing Didnt stay they canceled our reservation

I checked in around 8:00pm and was told "I don't know if you want to stay here - we don't have any hot water". He did not have any information regarding when the hot water would be available. I asked if he could change me to another hotel, and he said there weren't any rooms nearby. He did give me $15 off of my room total. I did check with other brand properties, but they were triple the price so since I was only staying one night, I checked into the room. The shower was clean, along with towels, but it looked like what appeared to be urine (light brown/dark yellow dried fluid around the toilet). There was shampoo for the shower in a large container, and also another bottle of shampoo by the sink. I'm guessing that was supposed to be used as soap since there wasn't any on the sink or in the shower. The room walls were pretty banged up, and someone put a piece of tissue in the peep hole to the room. Again, since I was only staying there one night, I dealt the issues, but I would not stay here again. The front desk staff were pleasant, and I did not complain about any of the above - it looked like several others had and I didn't want to add to their misery, but I will not stay here again. I left the next morning, and still no hot water.

Otherwise, it was a good location, nice breakfast, and polite staff.
