Best Western Grandma's Feather Bed

This is a delightfully unique property with outstandingly friendly, polite and attentive staff. It may be owned by a big chain, but it is as charming and gracious as any bed and breakfast inn. We feel we found the best accommodations in Juneau and right down the street (4-5 miles) from the only glacier park you can drive to. Our room (201) was spacious, clean, cozy and well appointed. I am a particularly fussy traveler but have to say I was so pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this property and our stay. Thank you all!!

We had an early morning fishing trip and the staff made us breakfast to go and even delivered it to our room! The staff was very friendly.

Large, comfortable room. Shuttle is just a phone call away and will take you anywhere in the immediate area.

Clean room. Staff was fine other than the shuttle was late getting to the airport. Breakfast was very good.

No late checkout. Travel in Alaska is difficult to arrange. The Juneau airport is not the most comfortable place to wait for a flight. It would be an asset, especially for a boutique hotel, to accomodate travelers with late checkout

From check in to checkout our experience there was phenomenal. They were super receptive on the phone to answer questions about their shuttle service. We even had to do a very early morning shuttle at 3 AM for our flight and they accommodated that early time AND included offering us homemade breakfast burritos to take with us because we would be missing the continental breakfast. They had an enormous assortment of snacks and fresh fruit offering bottles of water and free coffee and tea for the entire day as well. We ordered takeout food for dinner and she provided us with plates, napkins, and utensils to enjoy that in the dining room. It was lovely to sit on the front porch and just watch cars go by as well as I could hear bald eagles in the background and ravens in the trees. Beautiful property very clean and probably the best place I’ve ever stayed.

We didn’t use the shuttle but I’m sure it was very helpful for others. Would definitely recommend and stay here again while in Juneau.

This was an ideal stay. The staff was incredible and accommodated every request. We even needed to do laundry and they drove us to a different hotel to do so. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We loved the airport shuttle and downtown shuttle.

Nice bathroom WiFi fast Shuttle service they offer is great. Many options. Dinner there didn’t have great choices but in .5m radius, plenty to walk to. If you can’t carry your bags upstairs, ask for first floor. Nice staff

We enjoyed our stay here . The staff was very friendly and helpful, even hurrying to bring my phone charger out to me as we waited for a shuttle to the airport. Breakfast was good and the room, while a little small, was comfortable and decently equipped. It’s a bed and breakfast so don’t expect a fancy modern hotel.

We had a clean room. The jetted tub was strong. We had plenty of towels and toiletries. We used the airport shuttle and scheduled shuttle to town. When they worked for our schedule, they were preferable to local ride share that we used. We asked for a nighttime stop at the store and were accommodated. The breakfast food was great. Drinks, snacks and fruit all day offered were excellent. The fan in our second floor room was adequate our second to keep me cooler at night after also keeping windows open during the day. These building get stuffy in summer. Even the newer hotels in downtown Juneau are stuffy in higher floors in Summertime.

Very charming hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was spacious, quiet and had everything we needed. Breakfast options were good each morning with a choice to eat in the dining area or have delivered to your room. Convenient location for activities, downtown and the airport. Great stay!
