Great location; clean, newly furbished room with A/C; lifts; friendly staff; full breakfast that exceeded my expectations; relatively late check-out (11 am) No drawbacks. Or if to find one, the presence of a small fridge in the room might also be added to the list of facilities (I discovered mine in the closet only on the last morning, first thought it was just a box :D)

I never usually write lengthy reviews, but this hotel genuinely deserves one. We were a group of 13 people across six rooms, and the hotel was really accommodating in arranging our rooms close together, three rooms on the 3rd floor and three on the 2nd floor, all in the same area. We were also all upgraded, which was a lovely surprise. My room was spacious and had a huge terrace, while the girls got what they named the “Princess Room” a gorgeous room with views a very high ceilings and a chandelier The beds were very comfortable and I loved having two soft pillows, such a small thing, but much better than the one hard pillow you sometimes get in hotels! The bathrooms looked modern, new and very clean. We had everything we needed, kettle, fridge, coffee and milk, all replenished daily. The Wi-Fi was good and we had Netflix, etc. The air conditioning was excellent and seemed really new, which was exactly what we needed in August, right in the middle of a heatwave! The staff were lovely and welcoming, and the lobby was really pretty. The location is excellent. The hotel is directly opposite Hyde Park, there’s a bus stop about a minute away, and several Tube stations are within walking distance. Paddington is also just a short walk away. The neighbourhood felt clean and safe, even at night, with loads of restaurants, cafés, pubs, etc I’ve stayed in quite a few London hotels and, honestly, for what you get for the price and the central location, I thought this hotel was fantastic. I’m so glad I booked and would happily stay here again. I am only pointing these things out because I had read the previous reviews before booking and wanted to give an honest perspective. Some of the carpets in certain areas are worn and have seen better days. The carpets in the rooms are a lovely light blue and beige, so any mark or stain is naturally going to be very noticeable. I also saw reviews mentioning that you can hear everything. We didn’t personally have an issue with this, but the hotel is in an older London building, so some noise travelling between rooms is probably to be expected. That said, none of these things affected our stay at all. Our rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable, and we had a genuinely great experience. Updating some of the worn carpets would simply make an already good hotel even better.

Staff was very kind and helpful

The staff were helpful and kind, the room and view were very nice. Wasn’t a fan that the king sized bed was two beds pushed together (created a gap in the middle).

Nice location opposite Hyde park and near Paddington station (it is the yellow circle line which is the best for moving around London attractions). The building outside looks impressive and also the loby. Big room with air conditioning and good bed , they provided towels and made the room daily. .Small bathroom especially the shower! They also have breakfast for a cost but you can eat better at the local restaurants. Filthy filthy carpet and slippers are not provided ! Although it wasnt mentioned somewhere, our room was in the basement ! It had a big window , you could open for fresh air and you could see the road up. Definitely not the Executive double room I saw on the photos! I complained about the room and the receptionist said that this was the executive double room!!! Also Booking.com never responded when I send them message through help center!

Great location, clean room albeit a bit small. The room was a bit small for a single room but all in all it was a good experience

We got upgraded to a room with a balcony which is super nice. Room size was pretty good, view was nice, bed was comfy, shower and air con worked perfectly. I think carpet was not too clean and I found a little stain on the bed but I didn’t complained. I’m sure if I asked they would sort it but it wasn’t too important to me. Location was great, just near the Hyde Park and multiple tube stations. If you like walking, you can walk to South Kensington, Marylebone, Notting Hill and Chelsea. It was my 4th hotel in London and so far it was the best. Cleaning could be better and there’s a very little closet in the room but I guess this is not so suprising in London. Those details wouldn’t stop me staying there. If I ever come back to London I won’t look for anywhere else.

Location is perfect- close to Paddington & right by the park. Beautiful. The hotel is very nicely decorated & feels like a luxury hotel at a very good rate. Coffee & tea are complimentary in the lobby. Cold drinks are a reasonable price. Our twin room was so nice. Huge for London. Modern bathroom. Beds ok. We slept well. Staff helpful & friendly. Brought us more towels and an iron when needed. Housekeeping included. We could not expect more in London. My new go-to accommodation. Looking forward to returning here soon! Coffee was appreciated but the taste was disappointing. Better options are all around the area for a good cup.

The best part was the a/c on a 90 degree day in London. Made all the difference for a good night’s sleep. I had the cutest little nook of a room and I was very content.

Great hotel for a stay of a couple of nights. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Upon check-in, I was complimentary upgraded to a higher room category, which was a very pleasant surprise. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

    Staff are very helpful, great...

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Location, friendly staff, quiet considering the room location, spacious considering the hotel location, good coffee and water in the lobby Dirty carpet, small bathroom, dirty bedsheet, hangers falling apart, unable to adjust the air conditioner above 22 degrees, humidity due to the room located in basement
