Location One of the worst places I ever stayed! Had to be there for a night due to an emergency in our previous booking. Requested early access because had to leave the other hotel early and was denied. When got to the hotel, the room was dirty! Dust, spider webs and humid! Like the room was closed for a long period of time. Save your money and go to other place, even in the case of an emergency!!!

The receptionist Amad made me feel instantly at home and after a year since I last stayed at the Gresham, I sense a change in the comfort and professionalism of the property. Keep the staff the same please!

The location was central and the morning shift employee tried his best to assist me. Everything in terms of facilities. Dirtiness . Mold . Destroyed Furniture's walls ceiling...there was no way to enter the washroom without getting muccus . The room was horrible. The bed was dirty . And just for reference ill be adding a pic of the chair in the room. And anyone can guess /think what those stains are ....

Totally disappointed with the experience. The facilities were very poor, and the internet connection was either not working or extremely weak. Overall, the service and maintenance were below expectations, making the stay very uncomfortable and unsatisfactory.

I didn't like anything. This room was terrible. It was extremely expensive, there was no wifi, and the showers are absolutely disgusting. People should not stand in them barefoot for risk of contracting staph. The rooms are not cleaned. There was human hair all over my bed.

Would have liked some cups in the room and some shower gel/shampoo.

Overall, satisfied with my stay- good value for the money. Change the mattress

The location was amazing. We were within walking distance to so many amazing places in London. The rooms were very clean! The hotel wasn’t noisy or dangerous. The staff was super helpful and very friendly! The furniture in the rooms are very old and beat up. The lighting in the rooms is so bad. There wasn’t a safe in the rooms to store laptops etc. so ended up carrying around a lot of our valuable the entire stay.

Very little. The room was a reasonable size and in a good location. The room was filthy, large dust build up, a sticky substance on the mantlepiece, mould growth on the sink and shower, random dirt and hair all over. The room was in a terrible state of disrepair with very worn out and damaged furniture. The shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold and the shower bracket was damaged causing it to fall from the wall.

Location great. They don't do food, but there are lots of cafes/restaurants round about. 24h reception was very useful, staff were nice, I felt safe travelling alone. Bed adequate, it was warm and comfortable enough with spare blankets if I'd been cold (I wasn't.) and the room was warm too. Nice and clean. Shared bathrooms (individual lockable shower or toilet cubicles) were clean and fine. The whole place is frankly dilapidated, but you get what you pay for and I'm not unhappy overall. If all you want to do is sleep there, it's fine but my room at least wouldn't be a place to spend much time during the day. Some other guests were a bit noisy after I had gone to bed, but once I was asleep I wasn't disturbed. One of the toilets had graffiti scratched into the door which wasn't nice.

I don't really understand all the hate that this hotel receives. This is not intended to be a luxury hotel for a honeymoon, but rather a budget-friendly place to rest your head after a long day of travel. The location is perfect. The room was clean, spacious enough to move around comfortably, and the bed was comfortable. It was a bit cold at night. Fortunately, the room had an extra electric heater and blankets. If you require fresh paint on the walls and updated decor, this isn't the place for you. If you want to be in the middle of everything and have basic requirements, then this is a good option for you. PS, please don't take out your frustration on the hotel staff and treat them nicely. They don't own this place and aren't responsible for its condition. The water in the shower is warm-ish, and the stream is low. It's possible to bathe like this even in winter, but it's not fun. The walls don't have proper soundproofing, so your sleep depends on your neighbor being mindful of noise levels. There is no service to store luggage for free before check-in or after check-out, as is in all the hotels I know. It will cost you an additional 7 GBP or so.
