The location was great - close to the markets, gardens, public transport, shops and restaurants. No aircon! It was 33 degrees and you can only open the windows a fraction - due to safety I imagine. The bathroom was always warm even though no heating was on - towel rail or under floor. Quite uncomfortable. The room was 64 steps up (#65) and a lift would have been great!

Location was excellent just off Hyde Park with 3 tube stations located within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Room is basic and small but it was clean and had everything you need. We weren't too fussed on the size of the room as we only needed it for a place to sleep, clean and store your bags. Staff were on hand 24 hours a day and always there to help with any issues. Check in was confusing as you check in at the sister hotel a few doors down. Accessibility isn't great due to stair cases.

Location. Staff. Security. Cleanliness

Helpful and friendly reception and domestic staff, great location, and great breakfast. Nothing!

What a great safe and convenient location for such a value. Everything was clean, decent size, quiet. Seemed like a recent renovation of the bathroom, so pretty nice. Very hands-off staff interaction here because you check in a few doors down at the Phoenix Hotel. Not the most comfortable bed or pillows. Could be worse.

The location was perfect and it was beautifully clean. I wasn't sure why we booked The Kensington Gardens Hotel but stayed in Phoenix. It wasn't most welcoming - a smile and hello would help.

Great central location, short walk to Queensway or Bayswater stations. Close to M&S. Check-in is at the Phoenix Hotel nearby (which has aircon in the reception). We were able to store our luggage after checkout which was very helpful. It was 30°C on the day we arrived and the room had no aircon and the window was restricted to less than 30cm. A desk fan was provided but this was woefully insufficient and even when the temperature dropped to 20°C outside, the room temperature did not decrease. The bathroom was compact and the automatic fan seemed to make the bathroom even hotter.

Very kind staff, clean and spacious room, and AMAZING location. Will return. Nothing we didn't like!

Good location, close to Kensington for our visit to the Chelsea Flower Show. Reception staff member was rude and unhelpful. Our bags had been delivered by a delivery company and she claimed they hadn't arrived. (We're actually sitting in a storage space in reception). We were also asked to our passports so they could be photocopied. When I asked why, the receptionist advised it was company policy. When I asked for the reason why it was company policy it was to confirm identity. I didn't provide the passport and simply showed my ID. Not a welcoming experience. Despite booking and paying months in advance we were on the top floor of the hotel, (81 stairs) with no elevator. Had to haul our bags up after a very long day walking. The beds were hard and lumpy - most uncomfortable.

The hotel is in an excellent location. While the street where the hotel is situated is very quiet, the surrounding streets are buzzing with life, with cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, etc., so the area feels lively without the noise being bothersome. It is close to three stations, making it very easy to get around. (The photos are the view form my room). The room itself was on the first floor and, unfortunately, there is no elevator. However, it was very lovely. It was a bit small, but perfectly acceptable for one person. There was some noise, as I could hear people in the next room talking, but never at hours that disturbed me. The bathroom was very nice and modern. The room was cleaned daily and kept spotless. All in all, I would definitely stay there again. Having to carry my very large suitcase up and down the stairs, but I suppose that can't be helped. I would defenatlly stay there again, despite that.

Location ok Very dirty, i asked for the room to be cleaned again but never happened. Bathroom incredibly dirty especially the toilet seat. Bedsheets unchanged and stained bed. Pillows were smelly. They said they had no available staff to clean the room.

The hotel is located in a quiet street, but within walking distance of the tube and Kensington Gardens. We stayed at the Phoenix Hotel, this changed was made by the hotel at our check in. The room was too warm, as the heating was on in May. Neverthless the windows could be opened.

The location: right around the corner from a lively street (Queensway) with a grocery, coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, and two Tube stations; also close to Kensington Gardens. Our room was in the basement, but reasonably spacious, with a large window. The bathroom was modern. The bathroom was very small, especially the shower stall.
