Kind staff and convenient location. The hotel is cosy and provides what you need for a couple of nights. The rooms are small... well, I guess it is London! Yet for the price I paid, I am happy for the comfort and cleanliness.

The location is fantastic, the staff was lovely and the room was really nice No breakfast but plenty of places around to get one

Convenient, clean and pleasant My room was on the very top floor with no lift but exercise is good for you

We loved the proxinity to Paddington Station, which made traveling with suitcases from Heathrow airport very easy. The area the hotel is in, with a small park in front, means it is very quiet and peaceful, even though Paddington and the shops, bars and restaurants are just around the corner. The area feels very safe and with a lot of tourists staying along this stretch of hotels, it always felt safe and secure. The hotel itself was very nice, our room was exceptionally clean (most important to me) but as I totally expected, the room was very small. The bathroom was also quite small, but again, as expected in central London. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we would stay here again. I would add a hand held device to the rain shower. Because the shower stall is quite small, a rain shower didn’t make it easy to get clean all over.

Very nice area, clean and nice room with a view over the park in front of the hotel. Friendly and informative staff You can feel the subway shaking the building, but i guess that's how it is all over the area. Wasn't a big problem for us, but not great.

It is a great place if you want to crash nearby central London. It is very well communicated, having Paddington station within a 2min walk. The place was decently clean and the bed was ok This hotel is a transformed house from the 19th/20th century. I have never been a fan of these type of buildings, and I believe it is challenging for hotels to provide a premium experience with old buildings. I believe this is not an exception - these type of buildings don't have lifts, or a big enough reception. The rooms can be small or have very awkward spaces, and furniture within the rooms is then limited to a bed, a chair, and a tv. If you are passing by London and need some place cheap, decent, clean to shower and stay for the night, this is a solid choice. If you want to have a better experience when visiting London (whilst still being connected and good value for money), I would recommend finding some other place within Zone 2/3 or within a more modern area of central London.

Convenience. Good facilities Steep stairs and cold showers . Lack of plug sockets
-
Ideal location, close to Paddington station and walking distance from Hyde Park. Clean and well insulated room. Availability of all basic amenities.

Great location, very clean, great short term/stop over accommodation
-
The location is pretty central and you can get to anywhere from Paddington Station. Because of the nature of the building, the rooms are rather small.

Excellent location very close to Paddington station. Clean room perfect for our overnight stay. Reception was so friendly and helpful when we checked in. Wouldn't hesitate to spend a couple of nights here again. There are a lot of stairs as it is an old townhouse, this may not be suitable for some guests with a lot of luggage.

Very friendly staff and overall feel of the place. Rooms are small, but with all you need (including usb-ports next tot the beds), comfortable beds and clean bathroom. We were on the third floor, which is quite a steep climb. For us it wasn't a problem, but ask for a room downstairs if you are less fit. Paddington station is literally around the corner, so it's very easy to get around. Near the hotel you will find enough nice places for breakfast. The only thing missing were maybe one or two shelves to put your belongings. Luckily there were enough hangers.

The hotel is really easy to access and right around Paddington Station. The staff were really lovely and welcoming. The room was super tidy with extra towels and pillows available. The room seems to have been recebtly refurbished with a lovely colour scheme. With a 24hr reception, it felt very safe to stay in as a solo traveller. As a neutral note: the hotel has 4 floors without a lift so you may be training your glutes a bit. Thats more of a personal preference but the mattress was stone hard so if you like so sleep on clouds, the beds are not for you.

- Great central location - Rooms feel very fresh and clean - Staff very helpful with our storage needs. - A great base to have in London. - Rooms are quite small and can be difficult to unpack your stuff. - no fridge in room for snacks and drinks.
-
Brilliant location with rooms overlooking a lovely quiet street near Paddington Station. It was clean and comfortable and our room although small had everything we needed. Looking forward to staying again.

Our room was clean and fresh and comfortable. The room was small and didn’t have tea making facilities in our room, but tea making facilities were very close outside our room.

For a week long stay I would say that the room area for any luggage is less, but for couple of days the stay and room area of a double bed is great! Clean place (sometimes the building shake due to the underground rail but that’s expected!) and best staff in my opinion. I stay in London for 3days every 2weeks and it’s really best place to stay. Room area if possible can be setup to serve week long stays if possible.

Cannot beat the location. Right in the heart of Central London, two minutes from Paddington rail and underground stations. Access to several tube lines that can easily take you to anywhere you want to go in Central London, The City, or Greater London. Easy to get to/from airports and any trains that take you to other areas of the UK. Also great location to get buses to different areas in London. We had an extended stay so convenient to have a laundromat close by. It is a boutique hotel, and housed in a grade II listed Victorian townhouse (or several Victorian houses that have been connected), so smaller in size, no on premises dining, no elevator. There are several floors, so if you have heavy luggage you will have to carry it up/down stairs if located on the upper floors, & up/down stairs at the entrance of the building. The stairs would be problematic for anyone with a physical disability. Of note: rooms do not have air conditioning. Fans are provided, but may not be adequate on days when the temperature is mid-70s (mid-20s Celsius) and higher (depends on your heat/humidity tolerance). We knew before we booked there was no air conditioning and no elevators, so no surprises there. Staff were excellent, extremely helpful if we had questions. Housekeeping was excellent, they came every day to change towels, to clean room & make bed/change linens. Room sizes were good for our needs (superior double and superior twin for two kids late teens/early twenties). Of note: they do not provide face/wash cloths, so bring your own. They provide complimentary chilled spring water & chilled sparkling water in lobby - you will need a water bottle for this. There is also a small snack vending machine just off the lobby on the ground floor. We were able to store our bags before check-in.
