Breakfast cost too much. Location Fabulous. A/C fabulous (it was 85 degrees outside). Staff enormously helpful in arranging transportation for my family of 7. Staff helped us with our luggage. When I booked 5 nights for 7 family members, I specifically asked if there were elevators available and was told yes. My second trip there they put us in basement with no elevator and extremely narrow steps with no handrails on part of the stairs. I walk with a cane and it was very difficult to navigate stairs. Staff gladly carried our luggage up and down stairs.

A/C close to Paddington station and big bus very wonderful helpful staff We liked everything

The location and the staff were great. No air conditioning and extremely cramped room. No elevators which made it difficult to climb up and down.
-
Plenty of milk and tea for a cuppa. Everything was great.

The staff was always helpful, and the room that was given was clean and cool since it was a heat wave in England the time we stayed Can not say anything I did not like
-
The reception staff was most helpful with directions and eating recommendations. The room was cool during the worst heatwave in many years in London. Breakfast was good and the location near Paddington station and tube stop was excellent. Ask for rooms 51 - 54 as they are the only ones with A/C in the summer. No elevator. and breakfast is only served until 9:00 AM

Had to leave the windows opened, little fun helped though.

Convenient to Paddington Station for all our outings by train & Underground. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Nice quiet location. The breakfast selections were good & the staff very pleasant.

We were very fortunate to get an early check in and got one of their air conditioned rooms. It was crazy hot in London when we were there! Great breakfast, comfortable beds and lovely staff!
-
Great location near paddington Loud noises from the wall, was tough to sleep. Very weak WiFi. Worst I’ve ever seen.

not sure. We took the family room of five. It was impossible to move there once you have the suitcases in. It’s just a place for going to sleep. twice we had technical issues in our room, at one of them the glass door of the shower literally got out of its place and fell on my son, so we had to change for another room. then the second time we had problems with the safe the staff didn’t manage to open it, so we had to store our valuables in the safe in the reception which is very uncomfortable.

Great location and friendly staff
-
As people would come through doors leading to our basement room area, our door would bang and shake as if someone was trying to break in. This woke us up repeatedly. Perhaps it was air pressure issue.
-
Very nice location, very convenient to Paddington and selection of Underground lines, very quiet with dining etc choices, If coming in via Heathrow to Paddington nice cost effective choice. Minor specific point: as I was on business trip, WiFi bandwidth and speed could have been somewhat better but at same time it was consistent.

Hadi, Mario and Annie were awesome hosts - very friendly and helpful on our first night in London. We also stayed there again before our return journey to Canada East walking distance from Paddington station and good places to eat nearby - highly recommended!

I absolutely love Athena Hotel! It’s a hidden gem! I will never stay anywhere else in London if I can help it. For the price, it is the absolute best place to stay. The beds are comfortable. It is always clean. The bathrooms are spacious. The staff is so kind and helpful. They are incredibly courteous and accommodating with things like early check-in and ordering taxis. They also message you ahead of time to say they’re excited to have you and make themselves available for questions. So many lovely little touches. It’s also a quick walk from Paddington Station and Hyde Park and in a very safe and fun area. Can’t think of a thing.

Location was perfect, that's the reason I would stay here if I came back. The room wasn't great but wasn't bad, not the cleanest but it's not quite dirty either, could be better. But we were hardly in our room anyway so we didn't mind.

Lacking A/C and small rooms but made do
