B&B Hotel Miami Airport

Me quedé hace aproximadamente una semana y todo estuvo bien, pero ayer repetí la estadía y estuvo fatal. La habitación sucia, el piso sucio, los pasillos con mal olor, la ducha de la bañera no echaba casi agua.

The rooms were clean. Courteous staff. IHOP connected. Good pricing. Good choice for a pre-cruise stay.

L’hôtel était sous travaux, aucun déjeuner était inclus appart un certificat de $6 chez Hi-Hop. Très décevant en général pour le prix payer.

Pefect for long layovers. Nice and clean.

First - staff were very kind. My issue is that on Thursday night from 9p-1am the hotel let some group of people and local police(?) take over my floor and it was extremely disruptive with doors constantly slammed as 15+ people constantly went between 3-4+ rooms, loudly talking in the hall without any concern for guests, people from that project trying to open my hotel room and banging on my door thinking it was one of their rooms, and then slamming doors and crates of supplies as they moved things between spaces. Why the hotel would even allow that especially during evening hours is beyond me. The front desk person on Friday morning laughed it off and apologized saying they had a last minute request (from local police??) to do that. All I knew was that from my hotel door I could see a random guy in handcuffs being moved between rooms by people not in police uniform, sketchy activity where people were referring to bags of money and FBI numbers being traced, etc (I cannot even make this up - it felt like something illegal was going on?) It did not feel safe to even leave my room to go ask the front desk what was going on. When I came out of my room at one point to ask what was going on, I got 3 separate answers from people/cops in the hallway; “it’s a party”, “it’s an operation”, and “we’re filming something”. Noise didn’t stop until 1am. World Cup guests were less disruptive. My reservation was nonrefundable otherwise I would have changed hotels the next day.

Beds were pretty comfortable and the linens loooked and smelled clean so that's why I gave two stars instead of one.

Very easy to book. A friendly welcome when we arrived and the room was very clean.

The lock to the door was broken, it wasn’t fixed until the next day, you could simply push the door and it opened. I requested to change room but they claimed they only had a handicap room available. I stayed in the room for the night with the door guard as the lock since I didn’t plan on going back out for the night but in the morning they still refused to change my room still only offering the handicap room. Meanwhile there were people actively checking out at the time of my request. I expected them to change my room while they worked in the door, but I had to stay in the room with all the banging until they fixed the door.

We had to beg to get room service after telling them I would have surgery. Promoted with breakfast and then we get there and it’s under construction.

Hotel was good overall. Not offering at least continental breakfast is a downside. Also windows on the left side of the building had plastic covering from outside which prevented view to outdoor
