Ostello Bello Milano Duomo

Great price in the centre of Milan. It’s a criticism of bunk rooms generally not just this hostel but …. all it takes Is a couple of ignorant backpackers to come into the room after 11pm talking at the top of their voices and turning lights on, to ruin it for everyone else. Perhaps a little more signage reminding people to be courteous to others and a quiet policy after 10pm would be helpful in this respect. The “secure” lockers could do with an upgrade/ sound deadening and perhaps even bolting to the floor might be nice.

First, let’s talk about the location, it’s perfect. Really close to the Duomo and from here, you can walk to a lot of touristic places. It is open 24/7, which is very practical and enjoyable, someone is always here to help. By the way, the reception team was really helpful and always smiling. Compliments to them. I didn’t get the chance to do a lot of activities, just the karaoke but it was really good. The staff who runned the event were very nice. I appreciated the coffee and water in the common area, didn’t get a chance to go through the books that were available in the common area but I thought it was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable, sure, nothing exceptional but very good quality for the price. Curtains offered nice privacy and I’d like to thank the reception team for landing me a locker for my personal items. I felt really safe there and that was my biggest concern as it was my first time in dorms ! Well… after that novel-like speech, let me just say thank you for everything ! Everything was good. I just want to suggest that it will be good to give one small bath mat to every customer. I know we can get one freely at reception but putting it already with the bed sheets and everything might be easier to handle for staff as we won’t bother you for that and I guess we do ask for that a lot :)

Everything you could want from a hostile, clean linens, comfortable bed, privacy, friendly staff, excellent location, free coffee this puts other hostels to shame. I continued down to another one in Paris and I kept wishing I could go back to Otello Bello.

Great for socialising with other guests. The general area is comfortable and you can get free coffee there. Also, you can sit there after your check out. The 6-female bedroom is too small for six females. Other than that it was okay

Excellent location, nice staff, lovely people, nice common areas, the breakfast was pretty good and bar was nice. There were some ants in my bed and my earbuds got stolen.

Location and atmosphere The AC of the room was being closed from the main counter again and again don’t know why.
