Moxy Nashville Vanderbilt Area

The room had a very loud dripping water noise all night long. It was constant and made it extremely difficult to fall asleep and get a good night’s rest. For a hotel stay, being able to sleep comfortably is the most basic expectation, so this was very disappointing and really affected our overall experience.

Free drinks were a nice touch Paying for parking when other hotels offer free parking will weigh heavily on my decision to book next time.

While checking in, I was informed the air conditioning had not been working, but was slowly coming back and to be patient. After over an hour of sitting in my hot room and not getting any help from the staff, I left and went to the Fairfield. Way better hotel with much more helpful staff. I will never stay at the Moxy again! Definitely convenient to Belmont, but always way overpriced and not even that nice of a hotel.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at the Moxy Nashville Vanderbilt Area in Nashville. The overall experience was awful and fell far below what I expected given the amount I paid for this stay. When we arrived, the air conditioning in our room was not working. I contacted the hotel and called approximately four times, but nothing was done to resolve the issue that evening. Instead, they brought us a fan and left us to spend the night in an uncomfortably hot room. No one suggested moving us to another room. We were eventually moved the following night, but only after having to repeatedly contact the hotel. The room itself was also disappointing. The beds were uncomfortable, and there was no bottled water, refrigerator, or coffee maker in the room. I was traveling for business and expected a much more comfortable and convenient experience for the amount I paid. I was also surprised by an approximately $400 incidental authorization for a four-day stay. I understand hotels may place an incidental hold, but the amount was significant and tied up a substantial amount of my available funds while I was traveling. I understand that Moxy has a particular concept and style, but the combination of the non-functioning air conditioning, the lack of timely assistance, the uncomfortable accommodations, and the overall lack of basic conveniences made this an extremely disappointing stay.

Pleasant

My stay was very pleasant. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Food was a bit of a disappointment. Everything was cooked in a toaster oven behind the bar. Several restaurants within a couple of blocks so not a big issue. Only a 5 minute drive or uber to all the things you want to do. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.

I have stayed at the Moxy Vanderbilt many times and the reason is the staff. They’re so kind, welcoming, and know my name every time I walk in. They’re are the reason I keep coming back.

My pretty ass bartender Dai or however you spell it made it real comfortable. Just sitting at the bar laughing with her and the other guests was a great time to me. All the women that was there as well, oh my! I will be back! n/a

mattress was not comfotable. one headboard / bed stunk like vomit.

The building is a bit older, but well maintained. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The staff was outstanding—friendly, welcoming, and always available to help with anything we needed. One of my favorite surprises was the Stash House! I forgot my razor and was planning to make a trip to Dollar Tree, but they had a razor and shaving cream kit available. It was such a lifesaver and such a thoughtful convenience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, family-friendly hotel!
