Great stay! The room and facilities were spotless, the location is perfect, and the staff were incredibly helpful with every issue.

The weekly jam session absolutely made my night. Felt so fun to play an instrument after a few weeks away from mine. Kaz and his father put a lot of work in to make you feel welcome and I highly recommend a stay here. Don’t really have much to complain about. I stayed in a private room which measured about the same size as most Japanese hotel rooms (if you are an American it will feel very compact lol).

Such a nice stay here! The music room was so fun and it was great to jam with the owners. They were so nice and welcoming, would definitely stop by again next time I’m in Osaka. We jammed so much, great for musicians. The accommodations were excellent too, very comfortable and easy to navigate. I liked having a dedicated bathroom/shower area.

Surveillance is everywhere, they film you from the entrance with face recognition until the shower room. Luckily not in the showers. Check in hours are quite early and there's no flexibility towards guests. Requests for date changes are unacceptable so very low on customer centricity. There are better places where to get value for your money.

Kaz and vintage Kaz were so kind and welcoming. You can tell how much work is put into maintaining the place. It was very clean and comfortable. Loved the room and jam session. My favourite place I stayed in Japan.

This is one of those places that has all of the extra touches that make a stay very comfortable. I really appreciate there not only being shampoo but also conditioner for the shower, the shower room had lock boxes to put your valuables in to keep them safe and dry. It was also the quietest hostel I have ever stayed in, making for a great nights sleep.

Great place and location, very secure entry way, owner father and son are musicians who host a little music hour on the weekends. Good social vibe

Location is unbeatable, next to Shinsaibashi and about a 10min walk from Dotonbori. Spotless at all times and very nicely decorated. In the women's dorm there's a mini kitchen and a changing room with a full lenght mirror (cute touch, had never seen this in any other hostel). As in every accommodation in Japan, they provide slippers, shampoo, conditioner and body wash for free + hairdryer and a towel. Very nice bathrooms downstairs (mixed and for women only) + washer & dryer (for a small extra fee). Way too many unreasonable rules: - Checkout is strictly until 10:29 (yes, if you show up at 10:30 you’re fined). - I arrived 30 minutes before official check-in and asked if I could wait in the lobby/bar area in case my room wasn’t ready yet. Instead of letting me sit inside, the staff told me to go to a café through the intercom. Not exactly a warm welcome. - Eating on the bed is allowed, but if you spill, you get fined (as if they're not going to wash the bedsheets anyway). - They use a face recognition system (they take your picture at check-in), something I’ve never experienced anywhere else and felt excessive. - 10.000 yen deposit required. - Extra fee for late check-in (after 9pm) and luggage storage. The property is plastered with signs encouraging guests to report even the smallest things, like an unattended glass or a chair out of place. Combined with all the fines and rules, it just made me feel uneasy and hyper-aware of every move I made. In the women’s dorms there are only 2wcs with teeny tiny sinks, while the full bathroom (with showers, mirrors, etc, which is actually very nice) is 4 floors down. Not very convenient to trek across the hostel just to shower or get ready in the morning. It felt like it was designed with good intentions, but not much practical thought for women’s needs. Overall, I arrived with good expectations, which were crushed right away when I was denied entry and left standing outside in 35°C heat. They could easily have let me wait inside since I was a guest who had already paid in full, something they could have confirmed in a minute. So even if this was meant as a “security” measure, it didn’t make sense. From there, the excessive rules just made me feel uneasy for the rest of my stay. A disappointing way to end my Japan trip.

A hostel layout that I really loved. I even got to play piano with the staff as I visited on a jazz jam night. The best part is that they gave me a video of the jam session. Nothing!

Kaz was so helpful and quick to respond to my messages. Convenient location, clean space and complete facilities. It would be even better if complimentary luggage storage is available on the day of check-in & check out. I also wished the drinking water dispenser is available 24/7.

Location, common area useful for a small bite, clean, staff was nice helpful, showers area was clean too Drinking water is available only between 9AM to 5PM. I think it should be available 24 hours.

Kazu (son), Kaz (father), and Yoko were all warm and welcoming, and lovely to talk with and get to know. They’ve established a nice place for rest, refuge, creativity and community. Their recommendations led me to some places I wouldn’t have seen otherwise known about e.g. GLION Car Museum and Nakanoshima Rose Garden and therefore changed the course of my trip all for the better. It is conveniently located and yet on a quiet side street—I did a ton of exploring on foot and by the nearby subway. So glad I found this place and its excellent people. Capsule hotels aren’t for everyone, but I thoroughly enjoyed Feel Osaka Yu as my Osaka home, and I slept very well there. ?. ありがとうございます

Kaz and his father are exceptional hosts as always; happy to help with any queries or suggestions. Helped me book an appointment at a hair salon as well as getting us a table at a local place. Location is great for shopping and the metro is close enough to get to anywhere else you need to.

The location was amazing. The bathroom also had good hair dryers as well as paid washing/drying machines for clothing which was convenient. The gentleman who ran the hostel was very polite. The shared female dorm I was in was very small and crammed (the most impractical layout that I've had so far) obviously small is expected in hostels however this was definitely not as spacious as in the photos. There were also lots of strange rules/extra costs that may incur. For example if wanting to throw out rubbish (such as a shoe box) it is 500 yen to recieve a plastic bag for this purpose (as opposed to just taking the rubbish). You also can not use the lounge/any amenities after checkout so if waiting a couple of hours for whatever reason you are required to pay extra for use. You are allowed 1 "free towel" every 24hrs and must pay for an extra, the towels are very small and thin which wasn't ideal and also no single use bathmats only one that remains at the shower door for everyone's use which felt quite unhygienic. I also found the owner was behaving quite oddly in a situation where I woke up to him trying to wake another guest in the female dorm from the outside of her bunk at about 7-8am (respectfully which I appreciate instead of opening the curtain). I'm not sure the details of the situation but he asked the guest to meet him downstairs to talk about something (I assume there was a problem) this was reasonable however after this he stayed in the room and waited until she walked down with him. I would have felt very uncomfortable if this had happened to me as I wouldn't want a male staff member standing at the foot of my bed area waiting for me to get up whilst dressed in my pajamas.

Hostel is clean, relatively quiet and at a very good location. Staff isn’t very friendly and feel like they are always right. The hostel has a lot of rules, which is fine, but I felt like they didn’t have these rules so they had a leg to stand on to kick someone out if they go to far (which is good) but more to be controlling (which is not fine). I made a mistake with where to leave my towel to get it changed, my mistake, but I suggested they’d explain during checkin as I found the instructions in the elevator or confusing. They continued (many times) that I am the only problem they ever had and that the customer is the problem. They didn’t even know where extra towels were and had to call the cleaners?
