This hotel was perfect! Centrally located and walking distance to fisherman’s warf and plenty of shopping and eateries. We highly recommend the stay here!
-
Everyone else in our party got a normal room: We would have appreciated a chance to say no, but had no idea until we lugged all our luggage up and down that long stretch of a hallway! (How is a room that far away from the entry and the lobby accessible? ). Thank you.

The hotel is not very fancy but it is in a good location to see fisherman's wharf. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast is very well prepared and done very well from a logistics standpoint. I would recommend this hotel.

Breakfast line was long but quick and food was pretty good

Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was the best I've ever had at a hotel. Hotel was very clean and I didn't notice a single bug anywhere (I've stayed at some bad hotels in the past and this is important) Location was excellent. It was a great stay overall. Now for the negatives,... Air conditioner was very noisy and didn't seem to get cold enough, toilet seat seems to be coming off hinge, the outside pool was not heated and the worst thing for me is they charge an extra $165.00 at check-in. It's more than a little annoying when you think you've paid in full and arrive to find out you still have to pay for some hidden fees.

The room is clean

Great location in Fisherman’s Wharf short walk to many sights or transportation. Breakfast buffet was perfect start to the day and hotel was clean.

All of the staff were especially kind and helpful. I had lost my ball cap, and they actually found it and got it back to me. The rooms were very clean, the housekeeping was excellent. Even the breakfast went quite smoothly, even though there are hundreds of people in this hotel.
-
The breakfast is so good. Friendly and effectively staffs and services. Convenience to walking to attraction places.
-
Clean and comfortable rooms, stayed 3 nights with my family, everyone loved it.
-
We enjoyed everything about this hotel, the close proximity to Pier 39 was great. The breakfast was delicious with many choices. Staff was helpful and friendly.
-
The included breakfast is very good but, it is overcrowded, loud and chaotic. Additionally, the breakfast room manager was extremely rude to us (see Yelp review). Bathroom amenities should be upgraded. No facial soap at all. We went to nearby grocery to purchase a bar of soap. Will return to San Francisco next summer but will stay elsewhere.

Changed me extra guest fees for my 4 & 6 year old children. Absolutely ridiculous.
-
Really busy hotel. The queues for breakfast were very long with wait times up to 30 minutes. Also the gym was small for the size of hotel. Didn’t quite live up to expectations

Passable
-
Location, pool, staff was incredible, breakfast was tasty, parking was reasonable, had a soy latte espresso was perfect Ice machine did not make ice, bathroom super tiny with no fan, room got incredibly hot at night with no opening window, couldn’t take offered breakfast up to your room,

Functional hotel, good location for sightseeing. Busy place, breakfast bit manic but well managed & good to have included for free. Gym small for size of hotel. House keeping staff very friendly.

Location allowed quick access to Fisherman’s Wharf. The Embarcadero promenade, and for accessing the wharf from which the Alcatraz trips embark. The room was pleasant enough and the bed comfortable and shower powerful. Breakfast was extremely good, plentiful and offered a very wide choice. We were amazed and impressed by the way the staff manage feeding so many people so efficiently. I didn’t like the hotel practise of charging an extra $200 to my card at check-in. I was quite happy to have to pay for the 3 night stay up-front but I have never come across having another $200 charged at the same time. Also, when we checked out having charged absolutely nothing to the hotel, we were told that this deposit would be refunded in a week or so! If this is the policy of ALL RIU’s many hotels, then it must help the Cash-flow of the company enormously…at the expense of their customers!
