Hotel Becher

Location was superb. Central to everything. Minutes walk away from main square etc. Very old and in serious need of maintenance & repair. Moldy bathrooms, dirty stained toilet. Very small rooms, tiny breakfast area that seems misrepresented in hotel photos. They make it seem so much larger. Uncomfortable beds. One single pillow that makes it hard for some of us to get a good night sleep. Hard to take a shower in the small bathroom. Maybe other people got a better room.

The staff was wonderful, attentive, and kind The bed was very old and actually coming apart, as in, the plastic coating on the bed frame was disintegrating and left many marks on our clothes-it was gross.

Great location, staff was very helpful for directions and coordinating water taxis, Venetian decor Only downside was you could hear neighbors pretty well late night/early morning but to be expected to some degree.

Great location and wonderful breakfast. The staff were always courteous and professional. It was a pleasure staying there. We would have preferred an on premise restaurant and lounge to relax in.

Shower was tiny and hard to move around. A little dated, but nothing bad.

Absolutely wonderful location with its own dock (you can arrive directly without lugging luggage through town if you’d like). We got picked up directly from their dock when we left. Central to so much without being in the thick of the Rialto Bridge congestion. Staff were wonderful and friendly. Marco also gave us a restaurant recommendation which was great Beds a little hard

Excellent staff. Great breakfast buffet. The location is very close to every major museum, church, and palace. The room we were in was charming and goes with the old house. There was a minor repair issue that couldn’t be fixed in our short stay. There are mosquitoes so come prepared!

The staff was great and the location The size of the room is very small. Couldn't move around with the luggage in the room. The bed was pushed up against the wall, so you had to climb over the person you were with. The bed was like laying on a piece of wood. There was only half a bathroom door, and you could not adjust the shower head. The breakfast was subpar, not worth the extra charge. You could not adjust the A/C even with the thermostat in the room. There was a restaurant manager working the reception desk at one point. He told us that he owns a restaurant down the road that we must go there to eat and no where else. Made us very uncomfortable.

Excellent location to explore Venice on foot. Proximity to churches, musical conciertos, restaurants and beautiful surroundings. The hotel was very nice delicious breakfast every morning and superb staff. Elena, at the front desk receptionist was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. She made me feel at home with her genuine support to my questions. She truly cares about her guest at this historical Hotel Becher which is across from where young Mozart also stayed when he visited Venice. Highly recommend this Hotel and would definitely stay again. Seven minute walk feo St Mark Basilica. Beautiful decor and clean rooms.

You can feel the history with full comfort along with very kind and welcoming staff.

The hotel staff were excellent! So friendly, welcoming and helpful- truly wonderful people that made it a pleasure during our stay. Our rooms weren't ready since we arrived at 9am, but they saved us cappuccino on the dock with a beautiful view. They stored our luggage and brought it yo our room when we got back to the hotel. We had a junior suite with gorgeous views over a canal and saw many gondoliers going by. Location was excellent- only a few minutes to piazza San Marco. Breakfast was wonderful with a great variety. We truly loved our stay here and cannot thank the wonderful staff for making this a fantastic girl trip for me and my friend! If I had to pick something, the bed was not the most comfortable - but it was fine.

Stayed at Hotel Becher and the experience was incredible. Arriving by water taxi directly to the hotel entrance was unforgettable. The staff made me feel special from the moment I arrived, very welcoming and attentive. The room was cozy, romantic, and beautifully maintained. The outdoor lounge by the canal was a highlight, relaxing with a drink while watching gondolas pass by. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of fresh options. Location is perfect, walking distance to everything including St. Mark’s Square. Honestly very little to complain about. One of the best parts is how accessible it is, you can arrive directly by water taxi at the entrance or easily reach it on foot, which gives you flexibility depending on how you want to explore Venice.

The room was warm without the windows open. I think this is normal for Italian hotels though as they don’t use the air conditioning in March.

The 2 young ladies at the front desk were so awesome. They refused to let us move our luggage ourselves. They took all of it to our room after showing us the way first! They ordered our water taxi to the airport and when it came, once again they would not let us get our luggage loaded ourselves! They would bring our wine and prosecco to us either to our room or sitting outside. The breakfast was well organized and plentiful. The ladies managing that area were also polite, friendly and efficient. We will love to stay the next time in Venice. The rooms are a little small but beautiful, it’s so comfortable and we loved opening our windows and watching the boats and gondola going by. Hotel decor was beautiful. Loved the room key attached to the bell.
