Hilton Garden Inn Des Moines West

The man at the desk at check in had a somewhat of an attitude. My wife asked the man to pass on to housekeeping to do a partial cleaning of our room. He failed to pass it on to housekeeping and nothing got done to our room. The man should lose his job because I paid good money to stay there. NO MORE.

Staff provided no information and were very stand-offish/almost rude. One of the elevators had no lights and busted out signals and other areas. It just didn’t feel safe. The food was good, the wait staff was very night, the place was clean and the pool and hot tub were great. Even had a kids pool.

Water pressure was very low on second floor.

Location Food in restaurant wasn’t that good considering what Hotel we were at. Not a good value.

It was a very comfortable hotel and everyone was welcoming. It was great having the smash park in walking distance for meet ups with family and friends. Lots of things to do for all ages!

First I always want the room to be clean and the entire building and grounds were very clean. Next is the comfort of the bed. The bedding and mattress were very comfortable. The only thing was it would have been nice to have an extra blanket in the room. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

This property is 10+ years old and the furniture in the common areas and in the rooms seems to be original. They don't really need an upgrade as it did serve the purpose as intended but it was worn out and should be replaced.

Great location in West Des Moines

Staff was very good. computers were down and front desk handled things great. Bar and kitchen staff very friendly and helpful.

Convenient location. Quiet.

We did NOt have the breakfast. Cost, at 1495 seemed excessive for the type of food available.

The food we had from the restaurant was excellent. Thank you! The room was basically clean but we found two bugs in the bathroom. The staff was very accommodating!

Good visit, clean room, helpful staff.

Booked two rooms. Both rooms were out dated. Our first night tried to take a shower and no hot water. Called down to hotel front desk and told them we did not have hot water the guy at the desk was rude. We asked to be moved to a new room which he did but he was very rude. New room did have hot water but the mattress in both rooms were hard they need to update the hotel.

The shampoo/conditioner bottles attached to the shower wall were empty, so that wasn’t a great way to start the day.
