Hyatt Place West Des Moines Jordan Creek

The cleaning lady opened our door and came in the room at 850am!!! Scared us! Like who does that? Check out wasn’t until noon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hyatt Place Jordan Creek. The staff was helpful and friendly (especially Phillip who helped with a rogue frog who jumped into the foyer). Would definitely recommend. Clean, quiet and a nice breakfast with plenty of healthy options.

At check-in I was able to add my dad to the reservation - process was painless and he was able to check-in separately, which was wonderful. Pool was great, my family really enjoyed it! Room was clean - the only thing I noticed is the hand soap was wet in the box. I don't know if it was used before but it was weird. I wasn't concerned enough to lower and score - it could have been a number of things that caused it to be wet. The fire alarm went off during breakfast on Saturday, the staff remained calm and didn't panic. The issue was resolved quickly. I suspect someone tried smoking in their room. Breakfast wasn't spectacular. Just standard breakfast for the hotel. My son was sad because there wasn't a waffle maker but he did okay without it. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful! Parking was weird and our card didn't let us enter in the back parking lot. One of us had to walk around the side to another door to get in. There's a hornets nest forming above the back double doors btw, forgot to tell front desk!

This hotel is in a great location that feels very safe. The staff was great and my room was very clean. I need access to a refrigerator. When I arrived the one in my room was not working properly. I called the front desk and within five minutes someone was there to change it out. Would stay again. Nothing. It was great.

The suite we had was immaculate, spacious, and very comfortable. One of the best hotel rooms we have booked in the past few years.

This hotel is beautiful, very well maintained, clean and modern. We were only here for one night and couldn’t spend much time exploring the area because we had to get on the road again the next day for a cross country camping trip. For anyone experiencing a longer stay or not in as much of a rush, the hotel is conveniently centered right beside Jordan Creek Town Center and a multitude of shops with anything you could possibly need or want for a camping trip nearby. There is even an REI nearby. We felt very safe here and if you we forgot anything, shopping for what we needed was minutes away from the hotel. The included breakfast buffet was top-notch - they go as far as to cook and serve some of the breakfast in Le Creuset cast iron - chef’s kiss! The only thing that could have been better is one of the two elevators was out of order, making the one working elevator a hot commodity and the wait to use it was very long in the morning when we had to leave (our belongings were in two large heavy duffels and unfortunately we didn’t have anything smaller due to the nature of our trip or else we would have just taken the stairs). I would highly recommend and will gladly book again next time we are in town.

Overall it was a nice hotel. Pool was nice and the room was nice. I went in at 3 to see if my room might be clean early. It wasn’t. No big deal. Got back at 4:30. A half hour after check in time and my room still wasn’t ready. Had to wait another 10 minutes for them to finish cleaning our room up. We also had to wait ten minutes before anyone showed up at the front desk so we could check out. The staff were kind when they were there to help. Overall I give it a 2.5/5 stars.

This is a very clean property-very new and modern, and conveniently located with numerous dining and shopping options nearby. I would definitely choose this property again when traveling to this area.
